Maria Theresa Nazario, 47, of Willimantic, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Surrounded by love, Maria left this world the same way she lived in it—with grace, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

Maria was a devoted parent, cherished daughter, loving family member, loyal friend, and a valued member of the Windham Public Schools community. Generous in spirit, she joyfully dedicated her life’s work to uplifting others and helping them become the very best versions of themselves. Whether supporting family, friends, coworkers, students, or members of her community, Maria was always seeking ways to connect people with the resources and opportunities they needed to grow and thrive. It was this passion and dedication that ultimately led to the creation of the Family & Community Expo—one of the many ways her legacy of service will continue to live on.

Above all else, Maria loved her family fiercely. She is lovingly survived by her two sons, Brian and Sharod, who were the pride and joy of her life; her mother, Betty; her brother, Ben; her nephew, Bryson; her niece, Briley; her partner, Sam; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Maria’s love, laughter, and guiding presence will be deeply missed, but her impact will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In honor of a life deeply loved and beautifully lived, we gather to remember and celebrate Maria while surrounding her family with love and support as they say farewell to their cherished daughter, sister, mother, and beloved partner.

Rosa M. Rodriguez Colon, 79, of Willimantic passed away Monday October 20, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.

Born on July 10, 1946 in Arroyo, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Lope Rodriguez and Julia Colon

She is survived by 3 children, 5 siblings, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday Oct 28, at 10AM at Funeraria del Pilar 71 Prospect St, Wilimantic. Burial will be in New Willimantic Cemetery. Jayanna Garcia, 25, of Willimantic passed away Thursday September 11, 2025 at Hartford Hospital.

Born on June 14, 2000 in Willimantic, CT she is the daughter of Moises Garcia and Carmen Dominguez.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving family.
