🚨 OFFICIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

🏡 Forest Cottage Senior Care – Willis, TX

We would like to professionally address recent rumors and false information circulating online and within the community, suggesting that Forest Cottage Senior Care is closing.

This information is not true.

Forest Cottage Senior Care was in the process of updating our Medical Delegation Certification, which is required and mandated by the Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHS). Medical delegation allows a Registered Nurse (RN) to legally delegate certain medical tasks, including medication administration, to trained assisted living staff.

By state law, when this certification expires, we are not permitted to continue delegated medical services until it is reactivated. In full compliance with regulations, we responsibly informed families and provided them time to explore options while we completed the renewal process. Our priority was to reduce stress and ensure families had proper time and support.

✅ As of February 27, 2026, our Medical Delegation Certification has been fully reactivated.
✅ Forest Cottage Senior Care is OPEN and operating.
✅ We are actively accepting residents.
✅ Residents who were preparing for relocation are no longer required to discharge and may remain in our care.
