November 1st marked the end of the summer 2022 efficiency test for the Premium Power Bull Sale fall born candidates! These 78 bulls averaged 3.50 # per day with an average feed conversion ratio of 5.25 # of feed per pound of gain. The top gaining bull had a whopping 5.11 average daily gain and the top RFI bull boasted a -5.87 RFI.

At the Southern Beef Performance Center we are testing cattle through our feed efficiency test center to ensure the producers have all the data available to make the best decisions for their ranch. These cattle are producing more while consuming less, therefore reducing the impacts on our environment. Feed efficiency is an important part of the beef industry remaining environmentally friendly, are you testing your cattle for feed efficiency?

Bulls have arrived and the pens are full! These bulls are starting the warmup portion of the feed efficiency test. These bulls will be carefully monitored by our C-Lock system as well as being walked through twice daily. Keep checking back with us as we progress the next 133 days!

Pens are ready to go for our upcoming test starting June 22nd. Come by booth number 130 at the Florida Cattleman’s Convention this week and visit with us about our fall test starting November 15th! Spaces are filling up fast. Make sure to get with us about testing your genetics this fall!

Spring 2021 born bulls are on test now & looking great!
We currently have spots available for summer 2022 (fall 2021 born calves) but spots will fill quickly.
With each test, producers will get back feed efficiency data & scan data back for each individual animal. Call today to secure your spots!

📢 Calling all cattlemen & cattlewomen! 📢
Plan to be in Williston, FL on October 2nd for our first field day here at the SBPC.
This field day is to showcase the feeders & bulls currently on the feed test. We will be discussing the benefits of producers using feed efficiency data, how it’s collected & what to expect when you send cattle to us. We will also have guest speakers to elaborate more on feed efficiency. Make sure you come hungry, lunch will be provided at this event.

The Southern Beef Performance Center's Fall 2021 Entry Form is officially available!
Forms are due on September 15th, 2021.

We have limited spots so if you are interested in testing your bulls here at the SBPC, contact us for more details. We expect to fill spots for the fall test fairly quickly, to ensure you have a spot, get your forms & entry fees in soon!
