Thank you to our fantastic community!! Thank you for the candy donations that made BLNRC'S TRAIL OF TREATS the best one in recent years. ❤ It was fantastic to have kiddos parading through our hallways, into each neighborhood so that all the residents could see, hear and interact with your cuties. Thank you to those who ventured over to ARBOR HOUSE'S TRAIL OF TREATS as well!!

And thank you to those who took time to stop and vote on our staff pumpkin decorating contest! Each pumpkin got MULTIPLE votes, but Oscar was the crowd favorite. Our admin team up on 4th floor and our front desk crew will be treated to a lunch party for their winning design. 🎃

We are so excited and honored to have been chosen for the Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive! Mark your calendar to come support us on December 28th from 5:30p-9:30p and "enjoy thousands of lights in over 75 displays from the comfort of your car."

Every car helps to add funding for "A New Place to Call Home", our future new building located off 16th Ave W. The land has been leveled this fall and we are aiming for an official groundbreaking in the Spring - and every donation helps inch us closer to that reality!

Do you want to thank a healthcare worker who changed your life, or the life of someone you love? Nominate that person for the The North Dakota Long Term Care Association (NDLTCA) Caregiver of the Year! Applications to nominate someone can be picked up here at Bethel or by visiting the NDLTCA site: https://ndltca.org/caregiver/.

The Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond to substantially enhance the quality of life for residents/tenants.

These employees can be:
❤A nurse doing extraordinary things to help you or a loved one
❤The nursing home aide who patiently fed your loved one during the confusion of their dementia
❤The social worker who eased your grandma’s distress
❤The activity aid who took extra time with you or your loved one
❤Or the physical therapist who helped you heal after surgery

All employees working in North Dakota long term care facilities are eligible for the Award. Nominate someone who rendered care to you or a loved one by February 6, 2026.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common lung disease causing restricted airflow and breathing problems. It is sometimes called emphysema or chronic bronchitis.

In people with COPD, the lungs can get damaged or clogged with phlegm. Symptoms include cough, sometimes with phlegm, difficulty breathing, wheezing and tiredness.
