Happy Halloween and daylight savings weekend!

We have a few patients who work at the local food shelves here in Chittenden County and they are letting us know that the demand is higher than ever. They provided us with a list of items that would be useful.
Please consider a donation in this difficult time of government shutdown and SNAP benefit suspension. Thank you!

Also, if you have an appointment over the next few weeks, feel free to bring any food items to the office and we will get them to the donation centers.

Are you feeling SAD? (seasonal affective disorder)

This is not uncommon at this time of year and especially at northern latitudes. This article offers explanations and some recommendations for treatment.

It does not state that vitamin D supplementation can be helpful but we feel it does help. There is a side link on the right (Complementary Health Approaches) that makes comment on vitamin D. It mentions that vitamin D can be toxic in excessive doses but most people stay below this level without issue.

Exercise of any kind can also be beneficial.

Bottom line...stay active, take vitamin D, talk it out and be glad!
