Healing Hearts Therapy is an outpatient counseling service owned and operated by Windy Nelson-Egeberg, MSW, LCSW. Windy has lived in Williston ND for the last 18 years with her husband, Rich, and 8 children. She is now also a proud grandma to 3. She enjoys traveling, thrifting, spending time with her animals, and pretending to know how to paint and sing.

Windy grew up as both a pastor and missionary’s daughter. She is a counselor who loves God and loves people, and desires to meet individuals where they are at in life. She strongly believes life is not a one box fits all, and works with each person to find their value, strengths, and foundational pieces to propel them back into mental health and emotional stability.

Windy provides comprehensive mental health therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals 8 and up. She specializes in trauma based issues, as well as mood and personality disorders. Windy has been certified in AutPlay Therapy and uses modalities such as CBT, TFCBT, DBT, Directive Play Therapy, and EMDR in her work.

Exciting News! After 9 months on pause to allow for my own health journey, Healing Hearts Therapy will be reopening in March!

There will be a location change for services, with the office now being located out of Freedom Kids @ the Badlands Town Center, suite 422.

I am so thankful to God for allowing this service to reopen and serve Williston and it’s surrounding areas, and to Freedom Church for opening its doors to allow Healing Hearts Therapy to operate.

All appointments can be made at 701-570-1317. Insurances accepted are BCBS and Sanford.

It is with sadness, gratitude, and hope that I will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from work.

Healing Hearts Therapy is NOT closing, but temporarily on pause so necessary medical treatment can be completed during this period of my life.

Thank you to each of you who have allowed me to be a part of your lives. I am truly blessed to have been afforded a job doing something I love, with individuals I cherish.

I am excited for the moment I am able to announce the door of Healing Hearts Therapy is open again❤️

I did not know the young lives that were taken today, but I do know the impact they had on so many, as evidenced by those they left behind.
I did not personally get to see their smiles or hear their laughter, but I get to see how much they were loved and valued by the tears and memories of their friends and loved ones.
One cannot even fathom enduring such heartache, so it is imperative that those effected do not have to stand alone in their journey of grief.
To those impacted by the loss of these precious individuals, you are in my prayers and I stand with you.
