Weekly Astrology for September 14-20, 2025

This week we are pulled to look at the balance or imbalance in our words, actions, and minds. Notice if your intention is to build bridges or to tear people and things apart.
We look to where we can find sanctuary from the incessant noise and rhetoric that wants to pull us down. We crave comfort and an easing of the stress that is clearly taking a toll on all of us.
As the cycle of the Sun in Virgo draws to a close, we look to what are those small details that will give us a practical handhold on what comes next. What is clear is that we are going to lean in the direction of alleviating any and all people and situations that cause us unnecessary stress. Much needs to be completed this week and doing things now is going to be incredibly helpful later.

Sept 15th, Moon into Cancer
The Moon in Cancer moves us to address all things associated with our home. Time to clear things out, clean things up (with this Virgo Sun) and make things more in alignment with who we are becoming now. Even if logistics are challenging, it is wise to do the due-diligence and follow through, so you have a set plan.

Sept 17th, Moon into Leo
Change is in the air and there is a bounce to your step and a lightening of your hearts. What is needed to happen is clearly happening. While much in the global world seems beyond our control, what we can do and control to allow ourselves to feel prepared and grounded is exactly what is needed at this time.

Sept 18, Mercury moves into Libra
We seek more diplomatic ways to gain ground in this world that seems on the edge of insanity. There is clearly a line being drawn in the sand and what we say and how we move forward is going to be more than challenging. What is clear is that we can no longer sit on the sidelines. We also cannot accommodate the opinions of others that harm our world and others. While we have to weigh our actions and choices very carefully, and we need to consider the consequences of our actions. We will also need to find a way to come to a fair and honorable conclusion. With this impulse, we can find ways to build bridges and to refine connections with others.

Sept 19th, Venus moves into Virgo
This is an aspect that ignites the desire to move through our acts of service. Love needs to be expressed in more practical ways at this time. Actions need to have a purpose and to have an intention to help and support others. Virgo is already a sign that enjoys a more practical application to our thoughts and intentions. Venus wants to put more romance into the picture and indulge some moments in those things that allow us to love our life and cultivate more pleasure. Be careful to not be overly critical of others. Especially, those you love the most. This is a perfect week to get that massage, some acupuncture, do a yoga class and to do those things that support a healthy and happy mind and heart.
Remember that when you love something it is going to require your care and attention. And that also means that to love yourself, you must learn to do the same on a much more personal level. See every living thing as something sacred and respond accordingly.
Venus in Virgo is a magical refining fire. One that is not just trying to strip things away but it wants to build a path through ritual devotion that shows that love and intention in concrete ways.

This week, find a way to allow your love to be expressed in each and every movement, word, action, deed, and thought. When you embrace loving yourself, then you can find a way to honor others as equals.

Weekly Astrology for September 7-13, 2025

As it has been an eclipse week, our days are filled to the brim with many more things than we perhaps wanted. Seems running late for me in this astrology is a problem. Sorry about that.

September 7th, Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
This is a time for closure and to let go of the old to embrace the new. Something is calling to our highest selves, and the lumination of our destiny is calling us toward something more profound and sacred.
There is much brewing below the surface of this murky water, and it asks us to fully engage in life and allow our essence to create something very different. Remember, all creations are a reflection of our innermost selves and so pay attention to those details as you are in that creative process. Don’t allow the old self to dictate what the new self needs to manifest. What the mind has known no longer really matters to what is unfolding. Something from our deepest unconscious selves is asking to come into tangible manifestation.

September 10th, Sun conjuncts the South Node
With the Sun and Moon in Virgo and conjuncting, we are asked to really look at who we are now. We are illuminating aspects of ourselves that have been pushed into the shadows and denied. It is time to see all parts of ourselves as sacred. Notice what you have judged whether from your own mind or from the projections of others. Notice that it is time to take the labels off those aspects and instead seek to discover the hidden meanings and purpose of such parts so that they can become fully integrated and loved. Let go of the expectations inflicted upon yourself and others. Let everyone find the freedom to explore, make mistakes, and find the eventually paths that lead back to truth.

September 13th, Mercury Cazimi in Virgo
As the planet Mercury appears to move into the center of the Sun, we have a moment when the mind and our authentic self can find a way to communicate that authenticity to others and to reorganize our minds into a more aligned and truer place. The old stories no longer fit. The old ways seem boring and dated. It is time to open to a new way and a new place. But that is a complete unknown at this moment, and it is essential to be okay in the emptiness of what is becoming.

What is above and beyond our own mind might just be more real and authentic. What is past our own mental and emotional limitations might just be what we came to rediscover. This is a moment to allow yourself to become one with the fog and to let go of needing to know the path when you finally realize that you were never lost in the first place. When you learn to trust the path that is presenting, that is when you open to allow in more of your highest and best self.

Poem – Where Predators Prowl

We live in a world where the predators prowl.
Some hide in fear when they hear them growl.

The predators are real, and they are out for blood.
They eat the good and create only crud.

I watch while some hide behind their nonchalance.
They fear clicking a like or even giving a response.

I would rather die standing tall and standing up to the evil in this world.
I refuse to swallow the hate that any darkness hurled.

I feel bad for those that are paralyzed in their own fear.
They see what is happening and still have no courage to respond to what they hear.

Complacency is a sin that will last for a very long time.
It is better to risk it all, or your soul will be left behind.

Courage can be shown but it often cannot be taught.
Something personal must happen to allow courage to be actively sought.

I have died thousands of times.
I have been the victim of heinous crimes.

Lifetime after lifetime, I have stood my ground.
An eternity ago I learned that any life that matters … is a battleground.

To want a life that is safe and secure.
One will have to let go of being immature.

A grown mind knows that life is not a fairy tale.
It takes a willingness to confront … even if you fail.

If you do not have the courage to stand up for what is right.
Get out of the way of those that are fighting for everyone’s light.

If you will not help. At least do no harm.
And perhaps one day you will be willing to sound an alarm.

When the time is right, I hope many will have more courage than they currently show.
But I will not wait for them to cultivate what they will not sow.

We live in a perilous time, where the monsters are at your doors.
And many will not wake up until they are pulled into many wars.

But the wars are already here to even those that have blinders on.
And much is about to be taken before the coming of a new dawn.

There are souls such as I that are ready and prepared.
We stand boldly together … awake and unimpaired.

A time is coming, and it is but a blink away.
Will you stand and fight or cower and pray?

What is at risk is the very essence of your own soul.
Will you allow the powerful to take your soul and have all the control?

I know the answer that my soul has always given.
I would rather fight and die … than ever give-in.

I know that silence is the way evil enslaves.
I have learned that evil moves in waves.

This is a tsunami, and I can see it with the coming dawn.
The skies are blood red, and the devil plays a helicon.

But I am connected to the earth and the powers of good.
And I will not allow anyone to make this world into their personal hood.

Stand with us or be swept away.
In all the chaos, fear, and dismay.

Those in power, want you weak and afraid.
They want you to believe that no one will come to your aid.

But I am one of many and we will do all that we can.
Because we know that the powers of good are stronger than just one hate filled man.

Weekly Astrology for August 31- September 6, 2025

We are a few days before the Lunar Eclipse on the 7th and what is clear is that we are feeling it … big time! Prepare for there to be sudden shifts towards closure. For some that is about dealing with deaths in the family. For others it is about stepped back and away from the habits and patterns that no longer reflect our true nature. Each response you perform this week will either make this week expand or contract.

September 1st, Saturn backs up into Pisces
We get one more chance to take a look at our childish choices and our emotional immaturity that brought us to this place. While that does not sound fun, and it will not feel that way, what is clear is that there will be something completing over the next few weeks. Yes, I know it has been hard. Yes, I know you are all feeling emotionally rung out. But Saturn requires your disciplined commitment, and Pisces requires you to see the bigger picture and to embrace what is unseen and unacknowledged. If you have not yet mastered some form of spiritual discipline, then you may feel overwhelmed with everything happening. That is why spiritual tools and techniques are so helpful at times such as these. If it is time to change, then what is it that you wish to change? Then do it.

September 2nd, Moon in Capricorn, Mercury moves into Virgo
A Capricorn Moon takes a serious tone. The bells are chiming and either announcing the deaths coming or conflicts brewing.
Mercury into Virgo intends to speed things up. The mind seems to snap into gear and that muddied focus finally clears up. Just be careful that you do not overthink things and allow your thoughts to control your feelings. A bit of self-control would be nice but know that choices need to be carefully considered and done in very grounded and practical ways. Don’t let the old mindset make you loop endlessly in the patterns that you know will not help.
This is a perfect time for exploring through deep meditation. It is also time to let things go and clear things out, whether they are habits that no longer serve or actual objects that are no longer necessary.

September 4th, Moon moves into Aquarius
Expect to have something happen that seems to blow your mind. That may not be a bad thing. That may be exactly what you need to see past your own projections. Waking up is hard to do.

September 6th, Uranus retrogrades in Gemini, Moon into Pisces
The Moon in Pisces can make things feel raw and real. Perhaps a bit too real. Life and death are hanging in the balance. and we are a part of that teeter totter at the moment. Our actions pull us towards a new life or to some form of death.
Uranus is the planet that belongs to Aquarius (air). Uranus is now in Gemini (air). Seems that the activation of the mind is asking to finally see how our stories and perceptions have created something that now we are going to have to find a way to live through. Uranus is the great awakener and as such it has quite a bit in store to teach us over the next seven years. Evolution does not often happen as slowly as we like to think. It often is catapulted into the space because of a series of events that cannot be pushed aside any longer.
A revolution of everything we hold dear is at hand. Notice the shifts already in your perspective. And recognize that this … is only the beginning.

Astrology for September 2025

Welcome to another eclipse month. There is a lot going on. Know that Eclipses are called a course corrector. If we are off course and off target, eclipses will force us to step onto another path. This month we herald endings and new beginnings.
Drama is in the air, fueled by a Lunar and Solar Eclipse to force us to change. I warned that by the end of this year, none of us will feel the same, be doing our old lives or even our old careers. If you have been burning the candle at both ends, this is going to be a moment of realization that shows the tremendous level of burnout that has been taking place and the high expense and toll that such intensity has now taken on our bodies.
While the world will be convulsing, we are going to have to find a way to maintain, find structure, and discover new forms of discipline as the rugs are all being pulled out from under us. What is clear this month is that we are moving forward. The stuckness and ambiguity of the past many years is breaking and what comes next is clearly going to be up to us.

September 1st, the retrograde Saturn moves back into Pisces for one final transit. We are here again to embrace how to focus all our emotions and find ways to move forward even when we do not know where we are going nor can we see a path. Get out those masks and snorkels because we are going on a deep dive into our emotional boundaries to find clarity. Saturn touched into Aries and now as it backs up, if you have not learned about having a firm boundary then you are going to feel really screwed. Your favorite words need to be, “No More!” This month it is important to do as much self-care as possible. You are going to need it.

September 2nd Mercury goes into Virgo
Mercury is Virgo’s ruling planet and let just say that for getting things done and clarifying what is needed next is right up its alley. It is time to address and embrace all those logistical details and to know that the daily bits need to be addressed now. Concentration improves and we find that decisions have precision.

September 6th, Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini
Now we have two planets in retrograde, Saturn and Uranus. Disruptions will multiply and know that you will need to know who you are because people in power and situations are going to try to make you question your sanity and reality. When you decide to believe in what is good and true in your heart then you will discover that others no longer have the power to tear you down.
The good news is that the Humpty-Dumpty’s are going to come tumbling down.

September 7th, Full Moon in Pisces and a Lunar Eclipse
Everything that has felt stuck and stagnant is going to make a very big shift. That change can be intense. You are about to be pushed emotionally in ways that will reveal new clarity. If your mind wants to check out and you feel as if your energy can’t take one more thing, it is time to embrace the impact of this Lunar Eclipse. What is clear is that we are going to be tested. If you refuse to let go then you may feel as if the angels intend to break your arms. You will be asked to make a huge sacrifice, and you will have to offer it up with no guarantees or clarity. Trust the flow and trust that this Moon has a current that is going to carry you to where you need to go.

September 13th, Mercury will Cazimi
Clarity comes, and peace is restored in your personal life. I expect this to be a moment of clarity and some form of revelation.

September 18th, Mercury moves into Libra
Yes, today will challenge your ability to handle a lot of details and find a new form of balance. Resistance is futile. Do each step as it arises. Your ability to find a tactful solution is high.

September 19th, Venus moves back into Virgo
While Venus does not like the constriction of Virgo, this will make us feel more careful in our considerations. We are going to be asked to be of service. We are going to be called on to do those things that will help others. Embrace that moment and do not pass your responsibilities onto others.

September 21st, a New Moon Solar Eclpse in Virgo
This intends to dramatically shift us out of the old and into a new beginning. Your daily routine is going to drastically change and that is probably a very good thing.

September 22nd, the movement of Mars, the Sun into Libra can give those aligned a much-needed boost to embrace a new career or to be given a raise or advancement. We are discovering that fitting in was never what we were about. Embracing what is happening in our lives is opening our minds to very new ways to living and a complete disregard to if others want to see it our way. We have officially entered the season of Fall and as this equinox asks us to allow for this shift to happen, it shows us that we are stronger together and we are being asked to remember that families and partnerships make us stronger.

Sometimes grief is the process through which healing is required to move. I look at my life and see the powerful influence that embracing grief has been for my evolution and soul. To discover who we really are, we must be willing to let all that has been familiar and comforting also go.

But now, we are finding that the shifts are dramatic because we are following our hearts and not our heads. The process of growth is actually quite simple. And give yourself permission to just be who you are without caring what others might think.

This month, all that begins to unravel. Just remember, you do not need permission or forgiveness to be who you really are. You do not need to fit into someone’s box. There is a powerful force this month that is awakening. What you do with that energy is going to determine the opportunities and consequences you will experience going forward.
Remember to choose wisely.
This month will require quite a bit of effort and the willingness to work hard for what really matters. Many astrological elements will try to push you off center and make you want to feel a victim when unity is going to be required more now than ever.
The fortunes of fate are turning in another direction. Find that path that is yours and yours alone. Recognize that the old paths that used to give us a feeling of confidence and comfort are no longer able to sustain what and who we are becoming. Antiquated values are feeling stifling and constricting. It is time to walk your own path and find what magic and miracles might be on it.

Remembering Maggie Wright Tesch

Dear Maggie. You were such a light.
You lived and breathed art with all your might.

You gracefully danced upon the stages of the world.
You laughed and cried, twirled and swirled.

You helped us remember that there is lightness within the dark.
You helped us learn how to embrace everything in life as art.

You lived a life of courage and care.
You lived on your own terms, and we could not help but admire and stare.

Too quickly you are gone from this place.
And now we feel the emptiness of your lost grace.

I know you are now free and no longer in pain.
And the heavens will now benefit and gain.

I am sure you will teach all the angels to dance.

In Memory of Maggie Wright Tesch

Another graceful angel has entered the ethers. Another wonderful soul who graced world stages and left many memorable moments in my life is no longer in physical form. I will remember Maggie Wright as one of the most unique dancers from my time at Ballet West. She weathered the stormy times of John Hart and managed to thrive by taking control of her own talent and doing what she needed to become the best she could be, by seeking the coaching that her heart and soul required when it was not offered to her in traditional ways. While she was a fierce competitor, she moved in that direction because her heart demanded a level of excellence from her that taught her to keep going, no matter the circumstances. She is now dancing with our other deceased friends, Bob Arbogast, David Jackson, and Lisa LaManna, as well as others who have passed from this life into the next expression of their artistic selves.

I will always remember her heartbroken Giselle, her dedication and passion, and her excellent care and concern for other dancers as they advanced up the ranks.

While I will miss her spirit and energetic touch in my life, her memory will give light to my spirit, as many of us have gained a new and mighty angel and guide on the other side.

Be at peace, dear one. You have earned those wings and a chance to rest.

Weekly Astrology for August 24-30, 2025

On Sunday the Sun decided to square Uranus. For many … it was an action-packed day that by the evening might have had you completely exhausted. With the Sun in Virgo and Uranus in Gemini, there is a lot that needs to be done, and many moving pieces of the puzzle caused a type of anxious tension. Everything feels like change, and we are being asked to act and to act now. Only by acting and making the tough choices will we be able to move gracefully through it. While Virgo loves to move with a refined sense of order and a practical approach, Uranus loves to throw a wrench into the works and disrupt. What is clear is that we are being asked to cosmically wake up and look honestly at what is happening. Only in that way can we find a pathway through.

August 25th, Venus goes into Leo, Moon into Libra
Venus moving into Leo, will last through September 19th. This adds a willingness and a smoothness to what is unfolding. And there is a lot unfolding. Appreciate what you have created and what is going to allow for a continued heart opening. When there is love available and freely given the opportunities are endless and unexpected resources will be available. Express your authentic self with pride and know who is on the same frequency with your current state of being. Thank those walking the path with you and know that many things are going to be offered during this time and this will allow you to feel even more special. While it is important to not over commit, if you speak from a simple and honest place you will find you have a positive influence on others.
Mercury still feels retrograde to many, but it is actually the effect of Mercury in a sesquiquadrate with Neptune and Saturn. We might want our illusions, but the practicality of Saturn is in the mood to make us struggle with our expectations and perceptions. Notice if within yourself or others there is a tendency to go to an extreme.

August 26th, Venus will sextile to Uranus and trine to Neptune
You can feel the shifts. For many our ways of relating to others is different. Perhaps we just don’t care about the perceptions of others as much and instead choose to move with love, appreciation and enjoyment. What is clear is that the desire to conform is over and we embrace the unusual experiences and allow for letting go of so much formality. Seems our intuitive knowing is winning over our mind.
It is clearly time to let go and move differently. We don’t want others dictating our pleasures, finances, or anything that we choose to undertake. We are in the mood to give very new things a try.
Today is a day where we could discover that we can make money in some unusual ways. And the concept of beauty no longer needs to fit into someone’s pictures. We see beauty as authenticity and honesty. When we look at the world that way it shifts how we engage in interpersonal relationships. Our spiritual and emotional sides seem to take precedence over acquiring and making money. We see where our fear has allowed us to hold too tightly to things and that fear of loss has now made us realize that what we feared losing was already dead. Now, the only choice is to make a new path and to be willing to confront issues head on even if we know it will only add to the complications.
Remember, all manipulations arise from deep seated insecurities and old wounds of betrayal.

August 27th, Venus opposes Pluto, Moon into Scorpio
Intensity continues to build and for many there are new levels of emotional distress as those that are desperate for control … tear down anything in their way. Notice what is driving your behavior or the behavior of others. Those undercurrents are dangerous as they sabotage and intend to disrupt the organic flows in favor of seeding more chaos and upset. Do not let the negative intentions of others break you down.
The Moon spends almost all of today in Libra but moves into Scorpio this evening. You will feel the balance tilt and the darkness seep even further into the reality. Those in power will use terrible actions of repression and blatant forms of manipulation to make emotionally charged situations worse. What is clear is the middle class and the middle road are no longer viable. For some … the only game is repression and denial. This shift forces us take a hard look at what is being repressed. If we want change … it is us that will have to change.

August 28th, Uranus Sextile Neptune, Moon into Scorpio
We are in for quite a ride. Uranus and Neptune have not connected in a sextile since the 1960’s and that might herald a very interesting moment in time between now and 2027. When outer planets change signs, it takes … time. A lot of time for them to figure out how to integrate. What is about to be revealed is going to be very different, conflicting, and in-your-face. It will not be boring, and it will be tumultuous. What is going to be revealed is the good, the bad and the very ugly of humanity. This is an aspect of awakenings. It is a liberation from the old structures that have caused us historical suffering, pain, and anguish. But we will have to work this energy internally and externally in order to find that tenuous balance. It is a time when we decide to stop hiding who and what we are and instead embrace our quirkiness and our unique vision of what could be possible.

August 30th, Moon moves into Sagittarius
This aspect makes us look at what might be possible, at what we are called towards, and what we long to become. While we long for optimism, that optimism will take us a decade to stabilize and manifest in this twisty-turning world. There is more that we will be required to expand into. But don’t try to figure it out right now. Even if you could see it, what you will see … will not make any sense anyway. Best to allow that awareness and understanding to trickle in as the pieces come together.

You are here to turn that mind of yours into a tool that will help you see yourself. It is time to embrace the beauty that is being offered and to know that there are larger forces in play that will take you on the ride of your life if you let them. Spirit is whispering your name and calling to your soul to awaken even further.
It is not asking you to become someone else. It is asking you to be who you really are and to stop trying to fit into some illusion or picture that is inauthentic to your core essence. If you get off track … then you will learn the lessons of that as well and it is all going to be important for what is going to be required for this future to awaken.
