Hello friends!

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Living Word Lutheran Church Life Group for the incredible dinner they hosted for the residents, board members, and staff of REUNITED Recovery on Monday night.

Your hospitality, generosity, and willingness to serve meant more than words can express. Sharing a meal together created a space for connection, encouragement, and community — something that is incredibly meaningful for those walking the path of early recovery.

We are also deeply grateful for the supportive and compassionate community that continues to stand behind our mission. Moments like this remind us that recovery does not happen alone — it happens when people come together with open hearts.

Thank you for welcoming us, feeding us, and supporting the work being done to help individuals rebuild their lives.

Today is Black Balloon Day.

Across the United States—and here in Minnesota—families gather to remember loved ones lost to overdose.

In Minnesota alone:
• 1,274 people died from drug overdoses in 2023
• Nearly 950 of those deaths involved opioids
• About 3 Minnesotans still die every day from overdose

While recent data shows progress and fewer deaths in 2024, the impact on families and communities remains heartbreaking. Every number represents a son, daughter, parent, friend, or neighbor.

Black Balloon Day is about remembrance, awareness, and hope. It is also a reminder that recovery is possible and that we must continue working together to support prevention, treatment, and recovery in our communities.

Today we honor those we’ve lost and stand with the families who carry their memory forward.
