Shorter days, colder temperatures, and increased screen time can disrupt your natural sleep rhythm. Many people feel tired all dayโyet wired when their head hits the pillow.
โ
Hereโs what helps during winter:
โ
โ Create a warm wind-down ritual: dim lights, warm showers, or a heated blanket help signal safety and rest to your nervous system
โ
โ Anchor your sleep schedule: waking up at the same time daily stabilizes your internal clockโeven on dark mornings
โ
โ Reduce evening stimulation: winter often increases screen use, which can delay melatonin release
โ
When your body feels supported, sleep comes more naturally. ๐ Better sleep starts with working with the season, not against it.
โ
If sleep continues to be a struggle, weโre here to help.

Wherever you are on your sleep journey - whether it's the absolute first step, to scheduling a sleep study, OR taking your sleep equipment seriously - we can assist you, simplify the process and get you on the path to success.
Let's walk through the steps to sleep health restoration. While each person's individual journey is unique, our President - Jarad Ripperger, talks through the common steps a person can take to restore their sleep health and work with us!
We believe you can make healthy sleep habits a consistent part of your life.
We are here to offer you:
-Home Sleep Studies

Instead of trying to โfixโ everything at once, start with a few gentle changes to your routine. Small adjustments can lead to deeper, more restful sleepโwithout pressure.
โ
Try these 3 simple ways to improve your sleep:
1๏ธโฃ Dim the lights at night โ lower lighting an hour before bed to signal your body itโs time to wind down.
2๏ธโฃ Keep a consistent bedtime โ going to bed around the same time each night helps regulate your internal clock.
3๏ธโฃ Create a short wind-down ritual โ reading, stretching, or slow breathing can help your mind and body relax.
โ
๐ Rest doesnโt have to be complicated. Start small, stay consistent, and let better sleep come naturally. If sleep continues to be a struggle, weโre here to help.

Why Sleep? Jarad's Passion to Start Sleep Center of Willmar
When I was a sleep tech in Des Moines, Iowa, I worked with a woman who had struggled with sleep and had a history of anxiety and depression for many years.
During her sleep study, we discovered that she had severe sleep apnea. We set her up with a CPAP device and she slept with it for about three hours.
When she woke up, she told me that was the best sleep she had gotten in 20+ years. Her response was an emotional one and she gave me a big hug.
Truth is Iโm not a hugger โ but I will always remember her story.
This is where my passion for sleep started and why I eventually opened the Sleep Center of Willmar.
My team and I have the privilege to be a part of so many peopleโs stories to finding better, quality sleep. What we do can truly change a life, not only in one night, but have that lifelong impact.
