Hi ladies! The Lit Path Massage is MOVING!

May 1 will be my first day at the MinnWest Campus in this gorgeous green historical building!

Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved looking at these buildings from the highway, and now I get to work in one. My massage room is on the second floor, but don’t worry, there is an elevator for those who cannot do stairs. Closer to May 1st, I’ll post more info!

For now, here’s a fun Friday fact about this building:

The 1700 Technology Drive Building was built in 1912. For its first 5 years, it served as the main (and only) residential building, housing men’s and women’s wards, a central kitchen, dining room, and even administration and medical offices. Quite the hub of activity back in the day & continues to be!

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) (aka scraping) is a therapeutic technique using specialized tools to detect and treat soft-tissue dysfunction, such as fascial restrictions, adhesions, and scar tissue. By applying targeted, deep-tissue pressure, IASTM stimulates blood flow, reduces pain and muscle spasms, increases range of motion, and accelerates recovery.

This creates controlled microtrauma that boosts collagen production and initiates the body’s healing process. The instruments provide vibration feedback, which helps the therapist pinpoint specific areas of restrictions, adhesions or chronic inflammation. Slight bruising may occur and will likely disappear within a few days.
