OACHC was proud to be joined by Meridian HealthCare and Signature Health to discuss Community Health Center priorities and the vital role CHCs play in expanding access to high-quality, affordable care across Ohio. From primary care and behavioral health services to care coordination and prevention, our health centers are meeting patients where they are and strengthening local communities.

We are grateful for Rep. Rulli's continued support of Community Health Centers and for the thoughtful conversation about ensuring Ohioans can access the care they need, when and where they need it.

We kicked off our first meeting of the day with the office of Senator Bernie Moreno. We are grateful for the opportunity to share the perspectives and priorities of Ohio’s Community Health Centers alongside Jamie Berrens, CEO, Christian Community Health Services / DBA Crossroad Health Center; Summer Kirby, CEO, Compass Community Health; Stephen Roller, President & CEO, Primary Health Solutions; Alyssa Huddleston, Executive Director, LSS Health Center; Jonathan Lee, CEO, Signature Health Inc.; Linda Theil, Director of Marketing & Provider Recruitment, Community Health Services (CHS); Katie Myerholtz, Assistant Medical Director, CHS; and our OACHC team, including President & CEO Julie DiRossi-King, Chief Policy Officer Kelly Carey, and Advocacy Communications Coordinator Michelle Sierra.

During our discussion, we highlighted the importance of increasing funding for Community Health Centers, growing and strengthening our primary care team, safeguarding access to telehealth, and advocating for meaningful 340B reforms. These steps are key to ensuring patients can continue to access affordable, high-quality healthcare.
