Codependency doesn’t start in your personality —
it starts in your nervous system.

When safety once depended on keeping others happy,
your body learned to survive by scanning for everyone else’s emotions before your own.

That isn’t neediness.
That isn’t weakness.
It’s what your system had to do when connection meant protection.

And if part of you still feels responsible for everyone’s peace,
it’s not because you don’t know how to be independent —
it’s because your body hasn’t learned it’s safe to be sovereign yet.

Real healing isn’t about pulling away or becoming “unavailable.”
It’s about building enough internal safety to:

You have to feel your way through it.

Mindset work is powerful — it builds awareness, clarity, and choice.
But if your body still believes that slowing down, resting, or speaking your truth isn’t safe…
No amount of mindset work will stick.

That’s where somatic work comes in.
It bridges the gap between what you know and what you feel.
It’s where the nervous system learns, “I’m safe now.”
And only then can the new thoughts, patterns, and boundaries actually take root.
