Friyay motivation! 7 years ago .zgonina.fratini and I embarked on opening local businesses. We are still standing and going 💪 We survived a pandemic. Labor shortage. Inflation. U name it. I recently diagnosed aggressive periodontal disease in a patient of mine. Age 30. I referred them to a periodontal specialist I work with and they did a terrific job helping her. Been seeing a lot of pregnant ladies this summer. Make sure to find time for yourself and prioritize your oral health. Dental cleanings are not only allowed during pregnancy but strongly recommended. It’s normal during pregnancy for your gums to become more inflamed and suffer from something called pregnancy gingivitis. Happy National Dentist day! One day late but that’s ok. 21 years ago I embarked on my professional school at University of Pittsburgh school of dental medicine. It’s been an incredible ride. Lots of sweat blood and tears along the way. But I’m proud that I have improved hundreds of smiles along the way and learned so much. I’m grateful every day for my practice and my amazing patients. Real talk. This was a rough week of reinsertion. It started with the devastating news of the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria. Then I saw a husband of one of my patients. 50 yo male. Face planted after riding and electric scooter. He broke his jaw in 2 places. He was out of state. So went to an emergency room and was treated by a plastics/ ENT doctor. Point of the story is…this is the 2nd major trauma accident I’ve seen this yr alone from electric scooters. Please 🙏🏼 friends if you insist on riding them please wear a helmet. Because if you fall you will definitely evulse some teeth or worse break your mandibular bone. Stay safe and pray for the people overseas and please donate if you can to help them. They need the help so badly. Have a great Super Bowl weekend! 🏈
