Stolen Bike Help

I ask that we come together to buy this teen boy a new bike.

This sweet kid rides his bike to school and to his first job, that he is so proud of.

He was our first volunteer when this program wasn’t really a program. He came over with his friends to cook, package up meals and then would drive around with me to deliver.

I’m sure his mom and him are feeling defeated. Let’s show some love ❤️, please.

And Suddenly…

And suddenly the phone rings.

And suddenly the grant approval comes through.

And suddenly some of volunteers want to become board members or leaders.

We’ve been preparing for survival.

God was preparing for a shift and lining it up.

Not everything that is STILL is STAGNENT.

Have you ever wondered where the food you donate to 86 Hunger Now ends up?

Most of it helps stock our holiday Blessing Boxes, making sure families have access to food during the times it’s needed most. Some goes directly into the meals we prepare and distribute through our regular outreach. And lately, a large portion has been going straight into community Blessing Boxes — which, honestly, are often empty again almost as soon as we fill them.

That need is guiding our next step. With a chef’s heart for feeding people, a builder’s hands ready to create, and an incredible community beside us, we’re planning to expand the number of Blessing Boxes throughout New Hanover and Brunswick Counties.

Right now, we’re starting the conversation. Would you be open to hosting a Blessing Box at your home, church, or business? We’d partner with you to help maintain it and keep it stocked with food for neighbors who need it.

Think about it… and if it speaks to you, let’s talk. Together, we can feed more people.
