M3 Wake Research Wilmington

M3 Wake Research Wilmington Seaside Clinical Research Institute, a M3 Wake Research company, specializes in conducting clinical research studies.

We are currently recruiting volunteers within the Wilmington area for several ongoing studies. Study volunteers help us to gather important information in the development of future treatments that might manage, cure, or even prevent diseases. If you are selected to join one of our studies, you will have continuous medical supervision for the entire time you are using the study medication or treatment. All examinations, tests, and medications or treatments are provided to you at no cost. Check out our current studies here:

Safety does not stop after enrollment.

Throughout a clinical trial, participants are closely monitored by trained medical professionals. Regular visits, health checks, data review, and safety reporting systems all work together to identify and address concerns quickly.

Independent review boards and regulatory agencies also provide additional oversight to ensure studies follow strict safety standards.

Strong monitoring supports strong outcomes.

Understanding comes before participation.

Before joining a clinical trial, every participant receives detailed information about the study, including potential risks, benefits, procedures, and alternatives. This process, known as informed consent, ensures individuals can make decisions confidently and voluntarily.

Participants always have the right to:
• Ask questions
• Take time to review materials
• Discuss participation with family or providers
• Withdraw at any time

Empowered patients make informed decisions, and informed decisions support safety.

At M3 Wake Research, patient safety means:
• Clear, transparent communication
• Thorough training for every team member
• Ongoing oversight and documentation
• Respect for patient rights and informed consent

Every study begins and ends with one priority: protecting the people who choose to participate.

It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week, a reminder that small gestures can have a big impact.

In healthcare and research, kindness shows up in listening, patience, empathy, and showing up for one another. Those moments of care help build trust, connection, and stronger communities.

Kindness is powerful. We are honored to see it every day in action.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This Valentine’s Day, we’re showing some love to heart health.

Taking care of your heart means prioritizing rest, movement, connection, and preventive care. Whether that looks like a walk, a good night’s sleep, or checking in with a provider, small acts of care add up.

Here’s to healthy hearts and the people who help keep them strong.

It is Women’s Heart Health Week.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet many symptoms go unrecognized or dismissed. Awareness helps more women understand their risks and advocate for their health.

Important reminders:
✔️ Women may experience different heart attack symptoms than men
✔️ Fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea, and back or jaw pain can all be warning signs
✔️ Managing blood pressure, cholesterol, and stress supports heart health
✔️ Small lifestyle changes can have a big impact
✔️ Research continues to expand the understanding of women’s cardiovascular health

Supporting women’s health means supporting early detection, strong preventive care, and clear access to heart health resources.
