Female vs Male Hair Loss
Hair loss doesn’t affect everyone the same way and the reasons often differ between men and women.
For men, the most common cause is androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness). This is a genetic sensitivity to DHT that leads to gradual thinning and receding at the hairline and crown.
For women, hair loss is usually more diffuse and linked to hormonal changes, stress, thyroid imbalance, nutrient deficiencies, or even tight hairstyles that cause traction over time.
At Delaware Hair Restoration, we evaluate every client individually to discover the reasons behind their hair loss so we can design a truly individualized treatment plan.
