Scheduling in daily activity that gets you to 7500 steps per day decreases your chances of dying from ANY cause prematurely. Why? More than 50% of Americans are sedentary and this lack of movement is contributing to our rates of chronic diseases in the US. So get ahead of your new years resolutions and start moving this month!

Want to know how? Start following our couch to 5K training program for training for Dashing Thru the Glow in Wilmington (happening 12/13!). We have both walking and running training options too!

Week 4:
-Jog 20 mins, walk 20 mins at moderate intensity pace (heart elevated to where you’re a little short of breath while walking)
-Upper body strength session
-Run/walk for 2.5 miles
-Optional rest day
-Jog 20 mins, walk 20 mins at moderate intensity pace
-Lower body strength session
-Optional rest day

Week 4 walking option:
-65 minute walk easy pace
-Upper body strength session
-3 mile walk
-Rest day
-Lower body strength session
-40 minute brisk walk or other cardio

Don’t forget to sign up for race day to keep you motivated and to bring a toy by the clinic for $5 off your registration!
