We will open Tues February 3, 2026 from 11:00am - 6:00pm.

Please be advised the roads, parking lot, and walkways remain snow-covered and icy. Please use extreme caution and travel at your own discretion. If you prefer to reschedule please give us a call.

Due to hazardous road conditions, snow, and ice, Highsmith Animal Hospital will be CLOSED on MONDAY February 2, 2026 to ensure the safety of our patients, clients, and team.

If you have an emergency, please contact Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center at 910.791.7387, located at 50 Greenville Ave.

We plan to reopen Tuesday, February 3, 2026 with modified hours. We will post an update tomorrow (Monday, February 2) with further information.

If your pet has an appointment Monday or Tuesday, one of our team members will contact you about rescheduling as soon as we can.

🎉 New Year, New Hours 🎉
Effective this Saturday, January 10th, our Saturday hours are changing.
We will now be open every other Saturday from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Our next open Saturday will be January 24th, and upcoming open Saturdays will be posted on our door for your convenience.

Today is a bittersweet one 💙
Our clinic will be closed from 12:00–2:00 PM while we gather as a team to celebrate and thank a doctor who has made a lasting impact on our patients, clients, and staff on her final day with us.
We are incredibly grateful for everything Dr. Edmiston has shared with our clinic and wish her all the best in her next chapter.
We appreciate your understanding and will reopen at 2:00 PM.

We will be open with normal business hours on Friday, January 2nd.
