Trinity Rehab Program Manager of the Year Award Recipient: Trinity Grove Therapy Program Manager: Jamie Lallathin, PTA
For the past 14 years, Trinity Grove has been fortunate to have Jamie Lallathin as a dedicated and compassionate member on its rehab team! Her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does. A graduate of Ohio University and Washington State Community College, she holds an Associate of Applied Science and is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
Interestingly, her journey into skilled nursing wasn’t part of the original plan. She initially envisioned a career in pediatrics and even approached her first clinical rotation in a skilled nursing setting with hesitation. But from the very first day, something clicked. She discovered a deep connection with the geriatric population and quickly realized this was exactly where she was meant to be. She never looked back.
Now serving in her current role for the past year and a half, she continues to bring both skill and heart to her work each day. When asked why she chose a career in physical rehabilitation, her answer is simple: she wanted a profession that would never feel boring or like “work.” And that passion is evident in the care she provides.
Over the years, her residents have taught her lessons that extend far beyond therapy. She reflects that while days can sometimes feel long, the years pass quickly—a reminder to truly live in the moment and never take health for granted.
She is equally passionate about her team, describing them in one word: “AMAZING.” She values the unique strengths each clinician brings and takes pride in working alongside individuals who are such strong advocates for their patients.
Originally from Belpre, Ohio, she now calls Leland, North Carolina home. Outside of work, her life is full and active. She loves to read, makes it a priority to visit the beach at least once a week, and spends much of her time cheering on her two sons, ages 10 and 5, at their games and activities.
One surprising fact? Despite her constant interaction with residents, families, and colleagues, she considers herself a true introvert—a quiet strength that perhaps helps her listen more deeply and connect more meaningfully with those around her.
Her journey is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the paths we don’t expect lead us exactly where we’re meant to be—and in her case, that path has made a lasting impact on countless lives at Trinity Grove.
