“I started my journey with Liberty in 2015 as a CNA and did that for three years. I had the opportunity to change gears and relocate to do staffing schedules, along with reports and other clerical things. I did that for five years. I found myself in a Human Resources role and have been doing that for two years.

I have stayed with Liberty for 10 years truly because of the opportunities I have had to advance in my career. The people I have had the opportunity to work with and the trainings and experiences have been life changing. A family-oriented atmosphere is always present in a Liberty facility.”

Royal Park of Matthews Rehabilitation and Health Center hosted a special Blessing of the Hands ceremony led by Liberty Home Care and Hospice Chaplain Samantha Dowdy. This meaningful gathering was dedicated to our incredible team members—the compassionate hands that bring comfort, healing and support to our residents every day.

The ceremony offered our staff a special moment to pause, reflect and reconnect with the purpose behind their work. It was a heartfelt reminder that caregiving is more than a career—it’s a calling deeply rooted in compassion and service.

Administrator Robert Woodie baked a delicious king cake for residents and staff. Congratulations to our Assistant Director of Nursing, Courtney Hayes, who found the king cake baby! Tradition says finding it brings good luck and the honor of hosting the next celebration — so we’re already looking forward to Courtney making next year’s cake! 💜💚💛
