How long have you been practicing yoga at terra sol?
JB: 7 or 8 years
JK: Since 2016, almost a decade

JB: 127

Why is your asana practice important to you? What does it mean to you?
JB: My yoga practice informs every aspect of my life: my mental, spiritual and physical well-being are all tied to yoga. I have been fortunate to have some wise teachers and every class seems to meet me right where I am for that moment.
JK: The practice of yoga is the cheat code for battling all 9 hallmarks of aging. Also it improves your physical health, cognitive function, cellular health, and reduces stress. Yoga also combats age-related inflammation and oxidative stress. It improves mobility and strength positively influencing biomarkers of cellular aging like telemere length. I also enhances brain health, balance, mood, and even benefit the appearance of your skin. It is integral with respect to overall health.
What is a fun fact about you we may not know?
JB: I grew up at Wrightsville Beach and fell in love with downtown Wilmington when I was in 6th Grade riding the school bus to Tileston. The bus rode down Castle Street!
JK: I am a health enthusiast focused on health span and longevity. My Peloton handle is "KickAss100YrOld". Everyone should have a "why" in life. That's mine.Thats mine.
