At BCCS, we’re here to help families and communities learn more through our Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) educational presentations. These sessions break down how substance abuse affects both mommy and baby. And what we can all do to support healthier outcomes. 💙

Executive staff joined Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. (BCCS) board members after the final Board meeting of the year, reaffirming the organization’s position as Delaware’s leading provider of prevention, treatment, and recovery services.

Vidalina (also known as V) has been with BCCS for over 8.5 years. Her dedication to being a voice for clients whose native language is Spanish is driven by her understanding of how important it is to remove language barriers when seeking life-saving treatment and assistance. We're glad her path has led her to us.

On November 7, BCCS welcomed community members to our most successful Community Resource Day yet! ❤️

Local partners, including MHA, Easterseals, Health2Go, Banyan, CORAS, the Department of Labor, and many more, joined us to offer resources, share information, and provide onsite assistance.

We were thrilled to see so many residents stop by for support, guidance, and materials. This turnout shows just how important events like this are for our community.

The dangers associated with substance abuse can lead to wounds that become serious without proper care.

Here are 3 key steps in effective wound care:
1️⃣ Clean and protect early: Gently wash with soap and water or saline, then cover with a clean bandage.
2️⃣ Watch for infection: Redness, swelling, warmth, or pain that worsens are signs it’s time to get medical help.
3️⃣ Seek ongoing care and support: Healing takes time. At BCCS, we provide compassionate, judgment-free wound care and connect clients to recovery, housing, and mental health services for lasting wellness.
