The Davis Community We provide health and fitness, short-term rehab, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and home care services for aging adults.

Champion McDowell Davis dreamed of a place where seniors would chose to live and employees would desire to work. He turned his vision into reality in 1966 when the first resident entered the nonprofit skilled nursing home named for his mother, Cornelia Nixon Davis. Today, the 50-acre Davis Community includes the Health Care Center, a household model of care skilled nursing environment; Champions Assisted Living, an apartment-style community of active seniors; and a Rehabilitation & Wellness Pavilion for inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy. The Fitness Center's community membership packages include aquatic and land exercise as well as educational seminars to improve the body, mind and spirit. In a quest to be an all-inclusive campus for the elderly, The Davis Community's leaders embrace change and innovation. We want to share a live music opportunity coming up, featuring two Broadway artists in town to perform in Opera Theatre Company's production of To Kill a Mockingbird.
This is a 60-minute concert featuring music from the ’60s–’90s, performed by Stoney & Deaundre’ Woods, a husband-and-wife duo with Broadway and national touring credits.

About the artists:
Deaundre’ Woods has appeared on Broadway in MJ: The Musical as Michael Jackson and in Hamilton as both Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. His career spans Broadway and national stages, bringing a level of polish, musicality, and storytelling that translates beautifully to an intimate concert setting.

Stoney B. Woods is a Broadway actor, recording artist, and New York Emmy–nominated actress. In addition to her work in The Book of Mormon, she has appeared locally in Memphis, Thursday Night Bridge Circle, Death of a Salesman, and Beautiful. She is known for her strong vocals, warmth on stage, and natural connection with audiences.

Today, we’re celebrating a love story that proves it’s never too late for happily‑ever‑after. Meet Margaret Kerry and Robert Boeke, who dated 70 years ago before life took them in different directions… and found their way back to one another, saying “I do” on Valentine’s Day 2020. Now, this beautiful couple calls The Davis Community home — and they’ve graciously allowed us to share their story as a reminder to everyone:

❤️And the heart never forgets what matters most.
