🎉 ONE YEAR OF BE_THE_1! 🎉
For today's Monday Ally Moment - let celebrate the 1 year anniversary of BE_The_1!! What a year it's been! Looking back at these moments—the events, the faces, the connections, the impact—We are filled with so much gratitude and excitement for what's ahead.
We did this TOGETHER. Every partner organization, every volunteer, every person who showed up and said "I want to help create change"—you made this possible.
Allies are absolutely essential. The LGBTQ+ community cannot fight for equality, safety, and dignity alone. We need people willing to: Speak up when it's uncomfortable ✊ Challenge transphobia and discrimination ✊ Create safe spaces in their workplaces, schools, and communities ✊ Show up consistently, not just during Pride Month
This past year proved that when good people come together with intention and heart, real change happens.

Year two? We're just getting started. More events. More partnerships. More allies equipped to take action. More lives touched. More impact made.

Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for BEING the ONE!❤️

Rev. Karla Fleshman is super excited at the opportunity to be a practicum facilitator with Michael Kuffel (they/them) of New Leaf Trauma Institute during their upcoming foundational EMDR Therapy training being offered virtually (Dec. 11-13, 2025/Jan 22-24, 2026). Michael is an EMDRIA approved foundational trainer and fellow author in Queering EMDR Therapy (https://queeringemdr.com/).

If you work with a lot of clients who live with complex early childhood trauma and/or present with the dissociative subtype of PTSD, then this particular training is highly recommended.
