📬When I first walked through the doors of Limen Recovery + Wellness, I was broken. I was scared, I was lost, and if I’m honest, I didn’t really know who I was anymore. The world felt like a place I didn’t fit into, and the idea of rebuilding my life felt impossible. But Limen gave me something that I hadn’t had in a long time, a safe place to just be.
In that house, I started to reconnect — not just with others, but with a power greater than myself. For a long time, I tried to do everything on my own. I thought relying on anyone or anything was weakness. But through the guidance of the program, the staff, and my peers, I started to understand what it means to surrender — not in defeat, but in faith.
The bonds I built there aren’t just friendships; they’re family. We’ve seen each other at our lowest and our best. We’ve shared pain, progress, setbacks, and victories. And through it all, we’ve learned what real connection looks like — the kind that’s built on honesty, accountability, and love. These are bonds that I know will last a lifetime.
Today, when I look at where I am and who I’m becoming, I see the fingerprints of Limen all over my life. I’ve learned how to show up for myself, how to be of service to others, how to live with gratitude instead of fear. I’ve learned that recovery isn’t just about not using — it’s about rebuilding a life that you actually want to live. It’s about finding purpose, joy, and peace, one day at a time.
I stand here today not as the person who walked into Limen House, but as someone transformed by love, faith, and community. Limen House didn’t just help me recover — it helped me live. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful.
