Today she snuck into the kitchen for a “chef moment,” carving into a perfectly roasted chicken—while our beloved Ohio Living Swan Creek mascot Swanny watched on in absolute shock. We had a wonderful visit from Wild Hearts African Farm & Petting Zoo - a mobile teaching zoo from Lewisburg, OH! Residents and staff enjoyed an engaging session about wildlife conservation and met some friendly animals from the farm, many of which we could pet. At 17, Ronald Hager joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. On Nov. 13, as an Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice patient, he finally took his Honor Flight from Columbus to Washington, D.C. Along with visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Ronald toured memorials honoring every branch of the military, witnessed the Changing of the Guard at Arlington, and saw iconic landmarks including the White House, and Lincoln and Washington Memorials. Leyla Zickau, Executive Director – Holdings of Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, accompanied him as his guardian, with T. Marzetti Company generously covering the cost of her flight.
