Harness the Power of Box Breathing 💫

Take a deep breath and get ready to unlock your inner potential with the transformative practice of Box Breathing! 🧘‍♀️✨

Box Breathing, also known as Square Breathing, is a simple yet powerful technique used to calm the mind, reduce stress, and improve focus. It's an ideal tool for anyone seeking clarity, relaxation, and personal growth.

How does it work? 💫

1️⃣ Find a comfortable seated position or lie down.
2️⃣ Close your eyes and begin by inhaling deeply through your nose for a count of four.
3️⃣ Hold your breath for another count of four.
4️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of four.
5️⃣ Finally, pause for a count of four before starting the cycle again.

Repeat this cycle for a few minutes, allowing yourself to find a natural rhythm. As you focus on your breath, notice the sensation of calmness and clarity washing over you. 🌟

Sometimes, when you’re caught up in your own thoughts, insecurities, and self-doubts it’s hard to fully appreciate your unique qualities, strengths, and the incredible potential that’s within you. 🫶🏼

When I ask clients to look at themselves from someone else's viewpoint (usually a loved one), they uncover a whole new level of self-awareness and insight. 🔍

Imagine for a moment how a close friend, a mentor, or a loved one sees you. What do they admire about you? What talents or qualities do they appreciate? From a place of love, what do they feel you need less of or more of? How do they perceive your journey and the progress you've made? ✨

By stepping outside of ourselves and adopting this alternative perspective, we can gain a renewed sense of confidence, inspiration, and self-acceptance. It allows us to also gain an insight into perspectives we may not otherwise have access to and obtain valuable guidance in what our next steps should be. A broader perspective offers a new opportunity for powerful shifts and changes to be possible. 💖

Life is tough and sometimes, it can be hard to have faith that things will get better again. If you’re going though a hard time right now, please know that this too shall pass, you are strong enough to get through this and you will be okay again. 💕

Just like anything in nature, there are ebbs and flows in life - sometimes we’re up, sometimes we’re down and the one truth that never changes is that nothing lasts forever.

Your key to moving through tough times lies within you - tapping into your inner wisdom and strength knowing that you have the resources and ability to move yourself through this time and come out on the other side even stronger than you were before this happened.

So how do you start reconnecting back to yourself?

You start taking a pause, giving your body, mind and soul a chance to just be for a moment - without distraction, without pressure, without having to do or be anything at all.

When is the last time you checked in with yourself and asked yourself - What do I need? And then actually gave that to yourself? 💫

Take a pause right now and feel what your body needs.

🧘‍♀️ Do you need to rest?
🍲 Do you need to eat?
🌳 Do you need to go for a walk?
☎️ Do you need to call a friend and chat?

What do you need?

💨 No time? Breathing is one of the most powerful and simplest ways to reconnect and recalibrate in a moment of stress. Take a deep breath in through your nose, and without exhaling, take even more air in filling up your lungs completely. Exhale through your mouth and repeat 3 times.

Do you feel calmer? Do you feel better?

Repeat this breathing exercise as much as you need to to help you focus, relax and recalibrate so you can meet the moment you are in.

Turn your pain into power. Everything that happens in your life is either a lesson, or a blessing. 💕

You may not see it or feel it in the moment and that’s okay, but the faster you can start paying attention and being open to learning from your pain instead of letting it hurt you even more, the faster you will heal and move on. 💫

The first step is to pause. Feel your feelings and allow yourself to be in the pain, in the frustration, in the anger - whatever feeling is coming up for you. And from here, you can start transforming it, letting it go. The key is to understand it and let it go.

Connect to your body and breathe knowing that this too shall pass because everything does. 💕

So if you’re struggling today, pause, reconnect with yourself and allow the lessons to come. This is where you take your power back and get back into being in control of your life 🎯
