CAPRICORN NEW MOON - JAN 18th | Newsletter excerpt -- the chart is cast for Washington, DC: "We're standing at the threshold between Capricorn and Aquarius, between preservation and revolution. Capricorn wants to build for the long haul, to preserve for the future. But Aquarius, ever the rebel, asks what's really worth preserving? Aquarius pushes back on the status quo and requires change. 'If you really want this to be here tomorrow,' it seems to say, 'it must be adapted to thrive in tomorrow’s world.'

"Pallas Athena, Vesta, and Venus are all feminine archetypes situated next to Pluto, Lord of the Underworld. This symbolism is not lost as we mourn the life of a mother at the hands of state violence. Many myths speak of the transformation that occurs when the feminine is dragged into the Underworld, akin to a deep and desolate winter that eventually must give way to spring. But unlike the timing of the seasons — shifts guaranteed by our planet’s rotation around the sun — the timing of personal and collective transformation works differently. Winter persists until the soul and psyche conjure spring.

"Expect ongoing upheaval, and ask how these events (personal and collective) are working towards liberation. What are they asking us to witness about ourselves and each other? Listen closely for guidance from the feminine; Pallas Athena sits at the very degree point of the solar eclipse next month, so wherever you are called to stand up and take a stance carries especially potent symbolism."

In my most recent newsletter, I discuss a concept known as the astrological ages and specifically the shift from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. Here’s an excerpt: “Unlike the Piscean merging of self into faith, the Aquarian age emphasizes individuality. When people are free to be themselves, the collective benefits.

“Aquarius is practical and believes knowledge should be used, not hoarded. Information becomes more accessible, and even our definition of knowledge will shift. Astrology — an Aquarian discipline — along with other esoteric or historically marginalized practices, can find renewed relevance and legitimacy during these times.”

How that looks will differ for each of us, and that’s a good thing! But if you’re looking to expand your astrological knowledge and find community, consider joining Saturday’s class, “Reading the Birth Chart.” Info + registration link in the comments.

💥JANUARY ASTROLOGY: The year opens with unusually powerful and reactive energy. In the first days of January, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are all out of bounds, bringing volatile energy into the new year.

When planets are out of bounds, they don’t play by their typical set of rules. There's a sense of impulsivity and a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later.

For those who purchased the 2026 Extended Year-Ahead Readings, I talked about January being a month of mounting tension. As the pressure builds to the larger climax points in February (including the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and our first eclipse of the year), we may be sensing that something is about to shift — that something has to give.

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction has asked us to face disillusionment, endings, and grief — to let go of dreams that can no longer be sustained. This is bittersweet and trying in so many ways. On January 26th, Neptune leaves Pisces for the last time in our lifetime. These endings are meant to be permanent, and the parts of our lives facing dissolution need us to be honest and brave through the transition. In time, a beautiful rebirth will occur as Saturn and Neptune work their way through Aries and get space to do their own thing again.

As the stellium of personal planets in Capricorn oppose Jupiter in Cancer and form a t-square to Chiron in Aries mid-month (especially active January 9-18th), we're feeling the energy of the unhealed child. Capricorn is the provider and structurer while Cancer is the nurturer and keeper of emotional safety. We need both, balanced and healthy, to navigate life as empowered beings.

As they each come to square Chiron in Aries, we may feel especially sensitive to the things we didn't receive as children and aren't receiving as adults. The reactions and behaviors you see playing out in public — from politicians to bosses to friends and family — are reflective of deeply personal, unhealed wounding. It doesn't excuse injustice, violence, greed, or debilitating selfishness and entitlement. We are each responsible for our unhealed inner-child. But it does point out the importance of healing work at this particular moment in human history.

As I sit with these energies, I’m reminded of the quote from the Talmud that is highlighted in Schindler's List — "He who saves one life saves the world entire."

As we embark on a powerful and transformational journey ahead, may we come to save the parts of us that deserved something different — at any time in our lives, but especially during childhood.

I hope everyone had a restful holiday and feels hopeful about the new year that lies ahead. It is, in so many ways, a leap-of-faith kind of year for all of us! We're standing at the edge of something significant.

Between January and April 2026, three planets will complete their sign changes — shifts that have been building for years. Neptune enters Aries in late January and Saturn follows in mid-February. They meet in an exact conjunction on February 20th at the first degree of Aries, marking one of the most defining astrological moments of the year. Then in April, Uranus finally settles into Gemini for its seven-year trek.

This isn't subtle astrology. These are the planets that reshape culture, redefine what we believe is possible, and ask us to reckon with what we've outgrown. Naturally, the Neptune/Saturn conjunction arrives during eclipse season (February through March), adding another layer of acceleration and release.

When astrology feels this big, it's easy to slip into fear or overwhelm. But the most supportive approach isn't trying to predict exactly how it will all unfold — that becomes anxiety-inducing quickly. Empowerment is found by working with the energetic signatures at play, the symbolism residing beneath the surface.

So what does this all mean? Neptune and Saturn meeting in Aries is especially potent — visions that have been gestating in the fog now demand action, structure, and embodiment. Dreams need to become tangible, and ideals need to be tested in the real world.

The area between Pisces and Aries is called the "cosmic fissure" — it is both an ending and a beginning. This is the very space where Neptune and Saturn are lingering. In these liminal times, the landscape of change is deeply personal and collective at once. The outer world — meaning, the world events and players — mirrors aspects of our individual consciousness. Who do you admire in these times and why? See those traits not as external to you, but as aspects of your psyche longing to rise more prominently to the surface.

If you find yourself curious, inspired, intimidated, or anything in between, I have a few ways we can work together:

🔹2026 Year-Ahead Readings — Just 5 spots left in January, then these pre-recorded readings conclude until next year. This is your personal roadmap through the transits ahead, tailored to your chart and what you're navigating in 2026.

🔹Pop-Up Office Hours on Tuesday, December 30th — Last-minute availability for astrology readings and Energy Healing + Soul Alignment sessions. Times: 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM — virtual or in-person.

Wishing you joy, clarity, and lots to be hopeful about in the year ahead.

Cat

12/17/2025

The last New Moon of 2025 arrives Friday, December 19th in Sagittarius — and it's followed by the Winter Solstice on Sunday, December 21st. We’re balancing expansion and possibility with nature’s call to pause, integrate, and be still. A new vision board is perhaps brewing within?

To honor this threshold, I’ve felt called to offer pop-up office hours this Saturday and Monday for astrology readings and Energy Healing + Soul Alignment sessions. The link to book is in the comments below.

This Sagittarius New Moon embodies potential and abundance. It asks us to consider what we're aiming for in life. Sagittarius energy is expansive, optimistic, and hungry for meaning. It's a wonderful new moon to set intentions under, especially before the year comes to a close.

The Solstice then arrives Sunday morning, marking the shift from one season to the next. It's a natural threshold for releasing what's finished and pausing between creation cycles. While we enter this season of stillness, we also find a bit more light each day, symbolic of the hope and understanding that can rise within if we turn inward and listen.

If you're feeling the pull to close out this year with clarity — to get grounded in your chart, clear stuck energy, or simply carve out space to reflect — then I hope to see you in the healing portal (or virtually!) this weekend.

Cat

🌕 Things are a bit … buzzy, aren’t they? Must be that time of the month — the time of the full moon, that is. Exact on December 4th at 6:14PM EST, the moon reaches fullness at 13° Gemini. It is our last full moon of the calendar year.

A full moon illuminates an astrological axis. The sun and moon sit 180° apart, meaning they occupy opposite signs. Right now, the sun moves through Sagittarius while the moon glows full in Gemini. Together, they emphasize truth, knowledge, information, and meaning.

Within this axis lives a fundamental tension: Facts, information, and data (Gemini) meet the meaning we give to them (Sagittarius). Gemini collects, compares, considers, and questions. Sagittarius synthesizes, believes, and declares. Across the two, we gather our observations and weave them into stories. We take what we know and decide what it means.

—The Restless Mind—
Gemini full moons are notorious for waking us up at 3 AM with a mind that can't stop churning. Ideas pile on, and we don't always know what to do with them. This particular lunation carries some challenging signatures — squaring the Nodes of Fate and soon, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. There are undertones of needing to get something right, of making progress despite the scattered, contradictory energy ricocheting through our heads.

How can we work with this? Lean into whichever side of the axis feels like a void.

If you find yourself drowning in information, paralyzed by too many perspectives or too much data, the invitation comes from the sun in Sagittarius. What does all of this mean to you? What do these revelations and insights tell you about your place in the world? What's the point of it all? Sometimes we need to stop collecting and start interpreting. Knowing what you know now, what’s the vision you have for your life?

On the other hand, if you've found yourself rigid in belief, perhaps even absolutist in your resolve of right and wrong and how things 'should' go, the invitation comes from the Gemini moon. What other perspectives exist? Why might things look the way they do? A little bit of not-knowing can be good for the soul. Conviction needs the humility of questions.

Under this restless chatterbox of a moon, something wants to be seen. Your heart knows the way through, even if your mind hasn't caught up yet. In time, that wisdom will synthesize what you know and believe.

Cat
