Anchor Psychological would like to welcome Phebe Crawshaw to our clinical team in Wilmington, NC. Phebe Crawshaw earned her Masterโs degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is dually licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate.
Phebe is a client-centered therapist dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and she approaches every client with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for their lived experiences.
Her clinical style integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and bibliotherapy. By tailoring treatment to each clientโs needs and goals, Phebe helps individuals build practical coping skills while also exploring the root causes and emotional patterns that impact their well-being. Her work emphasizes fostering resilience, insight, and personal empowerment.
Phebe has a strong passion for supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders and early recovery, including those with dual diagnoses requiring care for both mental health and substance-related concerns. She helps clients cultivate independence and build a meaningful life in recovery through collaboration, autonomy, and practical support. With LGBTQ+ clients, she encourages self-discovery and self-advocacy, helping each person embrace their identity and become the author of their own story.
