Wilson County deputies raided six v**e shops, allegedly seizing ma*****na and high-THC products, after a rise in student overdoses. Six suspects were arrested as officials call for tighter regulations.

The WCSPC would like to thank Wilson County Health Department for inviting our Coalition to their Neighborhood Syringe Take Back Day event earlier this month! We enjoyed being a part of this event!

They also recently installed a sharps disposal drop box in their lobby so community members can safely dispose of their unneeded needles, syringes, etc! This drop box can be accessed any time the Health Department is open!

Shoutout to Beddingfield High!

Earlier this week we were able to go to their school and talk to their 9th graders about the dangers of substance misuse and where addiction can lead to.We also talked about the importance of having good influences in your life as well as healthy coping mechanisms!

The WCSPC would like to thank Road 2 Recovery for inviting our Coalition to the their job fair last week! We enjoyed being a part of this event!

We're grateful for everyone who stopped by our table and for those who agreed to join our Coalition as !

At this event, the Coalition was able to distribute 25 medication locking boxes, 25 medication locking bags, 25 cabinet/refrigerator locks, and 25 medication disposal kits. This is 100 prevention items that are now actively being used within the community!

We had a great lunch today at Wilson’s classic Monticello Cafe with our partners at Wilson County Emergency Medical Services!

EMS is an invaluable partner to The Coalition—leading the way in Safe Kids initiatives, supporting our community through the Post Overdose Response Team, and offering so much more to keep Wilson County safe, connected, and cared for.

We’re grateful for their dedication and proud to work alongside them to strengthen prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across our county.

We are excited for the Christmas season around here! Help us give a little Christmas joy to local families, bring new and unwrapped toys and/or non-perishable food items to RC3 anytime until December 11th!

Also, join us for our Christmas Full Coalition Meeting on December 11th 11am-1pm at RC3! This will be an open house style meeting and refreshments will be provided. You can also bring your donations that day as it is the last day for the Food & Toy Drive!
