Thank you to Greenfield School for inviting us to their One Retreat earlier this month! The WCSPC, Wilson County Health Department, and Wilson County Emergency Medical Services did a Naloxone administration training, and then we set up our table and polysubstance impaired vision goggles activity (see the pictures with the cones)! Several other community organizations were out there as well with activities and education!

The One Retreat is a substance use prevention program that helps educate and empower students to make safe and responsible choices. The students rotated through interactive stations, including a DWI simulator, field sobriety testing, impaired vision goggles, and more, to better understand the serious consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

Thanks again greenfield for having us out!

If you did not get it from your doctor do not take it!

🚨 Fake pills look real—but they can be deadly. Just one pill made of fentanyl can take a life, and there’s no way to tell the difference. If it’s not from a doctor or pharmacy, don’t take it.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year’s theme, Pinwheels of Possibility, highlights how partnering with families and communities can help prevent child abuse before it occurs. Prevention begins by ensuring families have access to the support, resources, and connections they need—before challenges turn into crises.

On April 2nd, Wilson County Department of Social Services hosted their annual pinwheel planting at the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park in recognition. They then gave us our pinwheels to display at RC3! Throughout the month of April, you’ll see more than 50 community partners displaying blue pinwheels in support of children and families in our community. 💙
