Here's the story of what happened to me in late 2010, condensed to 90 seconds.

This clip is dedicated to my Mom, who never gave up on me & never lost faith that I would figure a way out of that Hell.

If I could get better from such a low point, there's hope for most folks out there who are struggling with chronic health issues.

The majority of Lyme patients & many bartonella patients don't have objective features on physical exam or routine blood tests.

The unfortunate result: Many patients are not believed by their doctors.

I hope this short clip with the amazing Drbeen provides helpful perspective, info, & tips.

If anyone has had success in reversing atherosclerotic disease (clogged arteries) of the brain, please share info. I'm asking for a loved one.

Autoimmune conditions are descriptive diagnoses, not etiologic ones.

When docs don't know what causes a chronic illness, they describe it. But that brings us no closer to discovering the root cause.

My focus has always been on finding & treating the causes of chronic illness. Thank you to the amazing Drbeen

For chronic illness patients, the medical maze can be daunting & I've found betrayal to be a recurring theme.

Betrayal by our bodies & by a broken medical system not designed to find causes of chronic illness, but to only focus on treating symptoms.

The result: Medical PTSD. A big thank you to the amazing Drbeen.

There's no substitute for Dr. Sleep.

New study: Chronic insomnia associated with an worsened risk of dementia & accelerated brain aging.

People with chronic insomnia may have a 40% higher risk of developing dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and faster brain aging, a new study indicates.

Docs love medical stereotypes because they're simple, but medical truths are complex spectrums.

The nuanced truth about Lyme & other chronic infections doesn't fit into a 10 minute office visit. Here's a clip from my talk with the wonderful Drbeen.

It's easy to feel powerless when trying to navigate the medical maze. It sucks, but it's rarely hopeless.

Some of the best lessons I've learned in my personal health journey is to stay away from doctors who do more harm than good.

Signs that a doc is a schmuck:
1. Gets haughty/ignores you when you ask questions.
2. Makes you feel small.
3. Seems to not care about you.
4. Is arrogant.
5. Gets angry.
6. Tells you how amazing he/she is.
7. Doesn't provide choices (medical care usually has lots of choices).

Some folks out there may have symptoms compatible with Lyme. Some of them may be told by their doctor that Lyme has to have had a rash. But that's not true.

Early diagnosis & treatment are key.

Thank you to the ever-impressive Drbeen.

This time of year people are coming back from family vacations.

Over the next few weeks, some will be getting sick, sometimes with life changing illness.

From an interview with the amazing Drbeen. This is how I've handled tick bites for my patients:

The paywall is down for a week on Part 1 of my Heavy Metals ZeroSpin article. For those who can't afford $75/year for ZeroSpin, here it is for free. Hope it helps folks.

It's about what I went through getting heavy metal poisoning from drinking organic teas, so hopefully others can avoid this Hellish experience.

Heavy metals have been defaulted to alternative docs because of disdain/indifference from mainstream medicine. The field is yet another disgrace, another failure, another opportunity missed to help the chronically ill.
