Last Farmers market of the year is today from 3-5pm at the Community Center on Elm St. in Peterborough! We have some new products: chai tea (caffeinated black tea blend), rooibos chai (samples at the market today!), deodorant (cardamom rose, lavender sandalwood, and unscented), nourishing calendula tallow cream, and “play dough” with botanical ingredients. Seasonal favorites like our elderberry syrup are available! Farm stand pick up available for orders too, just reach out. I hope you’ll stop by if you’re local! Pine Hill holiday fair is a warm and wonderful way to welcome the holiday season! With local artisans, musicians, hearty food and treats, and family-friendly activities, there is something special for all ages to enjoy! Friday evening shopping is for adults only, and Saturday for all (includes special circus performances by the Flying Gravity Circus!) Evergreen Acres has some new products and new scents to try!

❄️ Snow! Snow cats, snow chickens, and now a snow cow (just snow!) ❄️ We still have eggs. The farm stand is closed for the season,but reach out if you want some and I’ll be happy to get them ready for you. It’s just too cold to leave them outside for long. ❄️Wishing you warmth and joy throughout the season! ❄️

There is something about the evening before the first expected frost, where I find I can’t soak up enough of looking at all the flowers- marveling at their intricate patterns, colors, fragrances, and beauty, while gathering up armfuls of blooms to treasure and share a bit longer. I harvested a modest amount. After picking the last of the tomatoes, we moved the rabbits to their winter home in the barn and made sure the strawberry patch had a fresh layer of straw. I found myself wondering if frost would make an appearance. Shortly before bed, I noticed the temperature had dipped significantly, and decided to go back out in the moonlight and harvest some more. Wishing you beauty and warmth as we move into this new season.

Fassett Farm Nursery is a truly special place! For those not familiar with Fassett, it's a local native plant nursery in Jaffrey, NH that focuses on community as much as quality native plants- I hope you will join us this coming Saturday, September 6 for their Music on the Meadow event! Evergreen Acres will be one of several local artisan vendors. Rebecca will offer an herb walk at 2pm.
