Join me for the BRIGID'S FLAME FIRE WALK June 27th!
Our group will work with the goddess Brigid prior to the fire walk to align with her alchemy and embrace her medicine as we celebrate her this solstice by walking the coals. Registration is open!

The Brigid’s Flame Fire Walk is a ritual journey into the heart of the archetype of the triple Goddess. Brigid represents the convergence of three aspects; the fire of inspiration (poetry), the fire of the hearth (healing/fertility), and the fire of the forge (smithing). By invoking this goddess o...

I had a beloved elder who would often say, "As you grow, people, places, and things, will fall away."
At the time of her teaching, I thought, "I get it, the outer circle around me will change. That is part of life."
Gosh, was I naive.
I could never have conceived that this statement would actually mean the people closest to me. I just automatically assumed this pearl of wisdom meant acquaintences, my outer circle, and people I hardly knew.
To be honest, I had a hard time digesting this teaching; it felt judgemental, entitled, or privliged in some way. I felt like it could have meant that if some people were growing and others were not then they were "enlightened" in some way.
This is not what it means at all.
It means that trajectories in life vary and we are all following various paths of destiny. Sometimes these path cross and sometimes they do not. When they do not anymore, then they simply don't.
The complication comes when the peeling apart of paths or the unwinding of trajectories is done with stonewalling, ghosting, gaslighting, weaponizing of emotions, or various other techniques that are used to justify harmful behavior as "self-preservation."
These circumstances make the teaching of my elder even more poignant: the composting of relationships that were based in self-absorption have a life span, and that life span will come to an end the moment you make choices that align with your growth, destiny, and path from a place of wholeness rather than wounding.
Her words still ring true, the lesson more powerful then ever.
Ase Ann, you are missed.

I am so happy to announce this 3 day Ancestral Healing Intensive with my colleague and friend Eli Picó in Alberta, Canada July 31-Aug 2✨
Eli and I will guide a small group through the ancestral lineage healing process as developed by Daniel Foor, the author of Ancestral Medicine: Rituals for family and Personal Healing.
This is an opportunity to bring healing to familial wounds, embody the inherent gifts of your lineage, and create long lasting healthy relationships with your ancestors.
Please reach out if you have questions!

Ancestral lineage healing is the practice of relating directly with one’s blood ancestors for personal, family, and cultural healing. It involves safely establishing relationships with wise and well ancestors and enlisting their support to deeply heal your lineages reaching far back in time. If yo...

Q: Why take a class about the Elements ?
A: The best metaphor I can come up with is this: If you find astrology interesting and it benefits you in some way (broader perspective perhaps), learning about the elements is similar.
Very simply, in astrology the planets have characteristics and are always in relationship with one another.
The same is true for the elements (fire, water, earth, etc.). They too have characteristics that we can relate to and provide a different lens through which to view life. Through their intrinsic wisdom we gain a broader perspective and see things from a new vantage point. This is important because we tend to get stuck in our ways of viewing the world around us, which is normal, but it is an important to change the channel and have fresh vision.
Another important piece about Elemental Wisdom is based in animism. The elements are one part of the larger whole that we are more than capable of having relationships with and learning from. When we broaden the landscape of relationship in our lives, we find deeper meaning and belonging.

Class begins Tuesday March 3rd ~ begin the journey!

Elemental Intelligence is a five week class series that may be taken as independent workshops, or as a full journey into the cosmology of elemental wisdom. Diving into the archetypal energies of Fire, Water, Earth, Mineral, Nature, Mineral, Air, and Ether you will deepen into your relationship with

The elemental shift of the year from 2025 to 2026 brings an influx of new energy and practical indications. Moving from the Earth year to the Water year can often leave us feeling “muddy” to say the least. Having a basic understanding of this shift gives us expanded perspective. Inspired by the ...

I know this kind of thing can present as edgy and esoteric. It may illicit a “no f’ing way” reaction to giving an iota of attention to people in the recent past who may have harmed us.
I get that fully.
AND AND AND…
I want to offer a reframe of these two ideas.
➡️ In the not so distant past, and even still currently, relationships with ancestors was a normal and healthy part of daily life all over the world. For SO many of us, the routine of communicating with and honoring our ancestors broke with the advent of organized religion, colonialism, and other structures that oppressed this very normal practice. Ancestral practice may seem “edgy” and esoteric because it’s been pushed into the shadows and relegated to only those who possess psychic powers. Reviving this practice as a part of any spiritual path restores a part of ourselves that may feel lost, set adrift, or abandoned because our connection to a biological root system has been diminished over time. Learning to connect with our people and bring them into our lives on a daily basis is normal, healthy, and necessary.
➡️Why would we want to spend time with dead people who hurt us? Good question. So, imagine the ocean. A vast body of water made up of trillions of droplets of water. The ancestral body that you emerged from is like this ocean. The ocean defines you, not a few drops. The most recent dead, say the last 2-3 generations, may have caused great hurt AND there is an entire ocean beyond them who has not. We cannot define ourselves by a few sh*tty, harmful people because in each of us lies incredible talents, gifts, and love that is also an expression of our people. We are all pretty clear on what our ancestors did wrong, but do we know and embody what they got right ? This is the primary focus of ancestral work; yes acknowledge the crap and its origin, but really lean into and actively become aware of and live out the gifts of our lineages.

I hope this helps to bring more clarity to this journey.
If you have more questions please add them to the comments and I’ll respond on additional posts. 🙏

During this five week in-person series, we will journey with the ancestors within a community framework.
