I heard recently from a client who transferred to Midwifery care with us that she was told children were not welcome in her OB/GYN office for her pregnancy care. I was so saddened to hear this... I worked in an OB/GYN office for 20 plus years and having children present for OB visits is AMAZING! You are building a FAMILY!

I am sorry for all the Mothers and their children who cannot enjoy visits while waiting for a new brother or sister. While I cannot change what is done in medical offices, I can say Sandra and I adore having children "help" us with our visits! When they are part of the pregnancy journey, children are so ready for the new addition!

I have been getting many questions from past patients about being able to get Women's Healthcare beyond pregnancy and childbirth from me in my new practice...
I am thrilled to let women know that I am continuing to give care across the spectrum of Women's Health and throughout a woman's lifetime. My practice is definitely NOT limited to pregnancy alone. And I am always welcoming new women to Midwifery care!
Certified Nurse Midwives are known for their personal commitment of time to women during their Well Woman Exams and for a Holistic approach to a lifetime of gynecology health... I have learned so much over 23 years of providing care to adolescents, women of childbearing age, and women who are in menopause.
So for those women who are looking for something different than traditional OB/GYN care in a busy office, consider Nurse Midwifery care. I promise you will find the approach to be different and well rounded.
