This month, we’re delighted to shine our Resident Spotlight on Josephine!
Jo is always smiling and never misses a campus activity! Josephine grew up in a small town nestled along the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Louisville—Rising Sun, Indiana. She attended college at Eastern, where she met her husband, who was five years her senior and studying to be a dentist. After he completed dental school, the couple moved to Wi******er and opened a dental practice together. Josephine worked alongside her husband, even while expecting their children. During their years on Crescent Avenue, Josephine and her husband raised four children—Steve, Rick, Lynn, and Debbie. While living in Wi******er, Josephine formed a close-knit group of friends who regularly enjoyed lunches and shopping trips around the area. She fondly recalls visiting Irish Acres when it first opened and remains a loyal patron to this day.
Josephine has proudly called Wi******er home for over 53 years, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our community. ❤️

Big news! Meet our newest Director of Food Services! 👨‍🍳

Hello everyone,
My name is Matthew Mohr, and I am extremely excited to join the Boonesboro Trail family as your new Food Service Director. My wife Tara and I have called Kentucky home for the last 4 years. Kentucky has opened doors to opportunities I once thought were out of reach back home in Pennsylvania. My background ranges from fine dining to classic comfort foods that together have shaped me into the well rounded, versatile chef I am today. I look forward to getting to know each of you, hearing about your favorite dishes, and sharing meals that feel like home. Food has always been a passion of mine, and I believe mealtime is more than just nutrition, it’s a moment of comfort, joy & connection. My goal is to serve not only the best quality food, but to also create enjoyable experiences and lasting memories. I’m truly excited for the journey ahead and the moments we’ll share together. 🌻

We’re truly excited to introduce Eric Evans as our new Director of Plant Operations here at Boonesboro Trail! Eric brings a wealth of experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for keeping our community running smoothly. He is an experienced Maintenance Technician, with over 11 years of hands-on experience in repair and upkeep. Eric is skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. He is dedicated to ensuring equipment reliability and safety through proactive maintenance. Outside of work, he enjoys working on cars, spending quality time with his children, and vacationing at Panama City Beach!
