A heartfelt moment at Centerpoint Health – Wi******er! 💙

Meet Barbara, an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan who hasn’t missed attending an SEC Tournament since the late 1970s! This year, however, the tournament looks a little different for Barbara, as she is cheering on the Cats from her hospital room.

During daily leadership rounding, Jason Thomas, Director of Facilities Management, stopped by Barbara’s room. When Jason asked if there was anything he could do for them, Barbara’s son jokingly mentioned that it would be tough to watch the tournament on the small TV in the room.

Jason took that comment and ran with it. For the next UK game, he wheeled in a large TV so Barbara and her family could enjoy the game together. Since then, he has continued bringing it in for every UK game during the tournament.

Barbara shared how thankful she is and said it truly means the world to her.

Thank you, Jason, for going above and beyond for this patient. Moments like these are a reminder that community hospitals provide compassionate care in so many ways, even from our non-clinical staff.

Team Up for Patient Safety Week fun! 🏀

Staff were able to vote on display boards made by different departments to show off their work around patient safety. We also took their photo with their favorite SEC team and had a little basketball fun!

Patient safety is a top priority and we’re proud to celebrate with our staff.

Congratulations to this quarter’s Sunshine Award Winner, Jeremy Lindon, Radiology! ☀️🩺

Jeremy was nominated by a patient who came in for a swallowing test. The patient shared that they were very nervous, but Jeremy reassured them that they would be okay. He held their hand and comforted them throughout the process. The patient also stated that Jeremy is a great employee and person and wanted to thank him.
