During Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Teresa Daniels, a Clark Regional Medical Center nurse and lung cancer survivor, wants people to know the disease doesn’t have to be a death sentence.

Your annual physical could catch a serious condition before you ever feel a symptom. Conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers often have no early warning signs. But routine screenings during a physical can detect them early, when they’re most treatable.

Your check-up also gives your doctor a chance to look at the whole picture: your medications, mental health, sleep, stress and lifestyle goals. A quick visit today can help prevent a major issue tomorrow.
