This week Applewood graduated 3 students from the LNA program. Skylar was the student speaker at graduation. She shared the following " We were put in the shoes of some residents. Specifically, we were asked to submit ourself to thickened liquid, as well as be fed food blindfolded without communication. " "Without communication there is no relationship. Without a relationship there is no respect. Without respect there is no trust. Without trust, we have failed our residents." She gave a heartfelt, insightful message. What a great reaction by Mike when he was presented his $500 Leading With Heart check from a resident. We are so grateful for Mike and his daily efforts to personally connect with the residents. He was genuinely surprised and touched by the honor. We all celebrated with an ice cream social and Mike entertaining us all. Thank you Mike!
