Sue Craycraft Neal, 78, passed away peacefully at her home November 3,2025, less than a mile from the farmhouse where she was born, May 5, 1947. She was the first of the four living children of Calbert and Margaret Craycraft. Sue was the widow of James Herbie Neal and a retiree of the Lex. Bluegrass Army Depot. Sue was a Christian and loved God. Being the oldest sister, Sue was the boss or so she thought, of sisters, Peggy Ashe of Acworth, GA, Mary Craycraft (Sam Watts) of Wi******er. Sue's brother, Mark Craycraft was born in 1965, Sue's senior year at GRCHS. She delighted in spoiling him. When he married he gave her another sister, Susie (never called her sister-in-law). Sue's greatest joy in life was becoming an Aunt to Lauren Katherine (Katie) Craycraft. She was definitely a helicopter aunt. Sue was a generous and caring person, always thinking of others. She once gave the shoes right off her feet to a person in need. She loved spending time with her family and will be in their hearts forever. Great nieces and nephews include; Emily, Connor, Gito, Leo and Xander. In addition to her parents, husband and two infant brothers, she is preceded in death by her cherished niece, Elizabeth Ashe, and brother-in-law, David Ashe, of GA. The family would like to thank Ruth and Marsha Hillard for the loving hands they provided to Sue. Also, Hospice East and Dr. Greiser for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, Sue would want you to just do a kind deed for someone less fortunate. Services will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, with visitation from 11:00 am until the hour of service 1:00.
