Dessie Vee Haggard, 96, widow of Ernest E. Haggard, passed away Saturday,January, 10, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1929 to the late John Samuel and Katherine Curtis Kincaid in Wi******er, KY. She was a retired factory worker from McCamish and Curley's Mfc. She is survived by her children, Ernestine Kay (Donald) Richardson, John Wayne (Bonnie) Haggard and Larry Eugene (Peggy) Haggard. Her service will be on Wednesday, January 14, at 1:00 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 12 noon until the hour of service. Burial in Wi******er Cemetery.

Cynthia Ann Willoughby, 77, wife of David Louis Willoughby, passed away December 29, 2025. She was born February 1, 1948 to the late Jerome and Alice Callahan in Ayer, MA. She was retired from the Bath Co. School system in food service. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Laura Willoughby (Marvin Hatton), and Sandy Willoughby; grandchildren David (Laura) Willoughby, Carrie (Thomas) Korb, MacKenzie Willoughby, Tyler Barrett, and David Grider; great-grandchildren Easton, Emma and Ellie Willoughby, Kylie, Harper and Paislee Korb, Clayton, Amelia and Alaina; brothers Dennis (Sandy) Callahan, Kevin (Kellie) Callahan and Chris (Jeri) Callahan. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a son Wayne Ricky Willoughby. Services will be on Monday January 5, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home, with visitation from 11:00 am until the hour of service. Burial in Boonesboro Cemetery.

Gary Wayne Combs, 69, husband of Brenda Donahue Combs, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born to the late Ova and Marie Dunn Combs on January 6, 1956 in Powell Co., KY and was a retired wood carpenter. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Colby and Gary Combs II and Anthony Flinchum; daughters Stephanie (Roy) Combs and Patricia (Leslie) Stanfield; brother Jimmy (Mary Lola) Combs and sister Darlene Atkinson along with several grand and great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday, December 31, at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm, with visitation from 11:30 am until the hour of service. Pallbearers will be; Colby Combs, Les Stanfield, Jacob Cunningham, Anthony Flinchum, Anthony Flinchum II, and Roy Johnson. Burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Chester Robert Manns, 52, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born March 10, 1973 to Robert Manns and the late Fredia Fields in Middletown, он.
He was a self employed construction worker. Chester is survived by his father, Robert; children Alexis, Hunter, Cody, Colten, Bently, and Beckham; brothers, Teddy and Jeremy; sisters Christle (Kevin), Betty Lou, Hayley, Natalie and Emily; a granddaughter, Phenix Wagers and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, followed by burial at Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Larry Eugene Leaver, 77, husband of Linda Orme Leaver, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025. He was born March 24, 1948, to the late Walter and Dorothy Felts Leaver, in Nashville, TN. He was a manager at one of the Southern Leather Companies. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by a son Larry Leaver, Jr.; three borthers: Billy Wayne, Thomas Edward and Gary Lee Leaver, one sister, Sherry Hebert and five grandchildren. There are no services planned.

Janice Marie Martin, 67, widow of David Martin, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born January 5, 1958, to the late Charles and Frances Erlanson Martin, in Mt. Sterling, KY. She is survived by her children Kimberly and Tina Martin; grandchildren, Ciera Martin-Clem, Dion Harris, Jr. and Lucas Molands; her sisters Wanda Jones and Betty Martin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jasmine Davis. A graveside service will be on Monday, December 21, at the Wi******er Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Rolan G. Lynn Renee Willoughby, 71, widow of Samuel Joe Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was born March 30, 1954 to the late Otis and Arlene Robbins Fair in Chateauroux, France. She is survived by her children, David (Hillary) Maricle, Erica (James) Parks and Jennifer (Randy) Conner; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her dearest best friend, Cynthia Ball, two sisters and a host of other family members. A private graveside service will be on Friday, December 12, at 1:00 pm, at Boonesboro Cemetery. Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Myra K. Meetze, 90, loving mother, passed away peacefully on December 9th. Myra was a woman before her time. Her independence and strong will allowed her to thrive and forge her own path in a time that wasn't easy. Myra worked for and retired from the Federal Government in the Corp of Engineers in numerous locations and at Ft. Ben Military Base in Indianapolis, IN. In her retirement she worked for Boonesboro Water District and KY American Water. Myra was a lover of music, especially Bob Seger. She enjoyed all forms of auto racing - to the point of documenting times of some of the racers. She could even be found helping her son, Gary, on his farm. Her accomplishments are a testimony to her independence and strong will that will live on throughout the generations of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reece and Nellie (Spencer) Townsend. She is survived by her sons, Gary Rice (Richmond) and James D. Shrout (Des Moines, IA): three grandchildren, Kristen Rice Combs, James Dillon Shrout, and Tayrn Shrout: four great-grandchildren, Maisyn Combs, Levi Combs, Nova Shrout and Braxton Shrout. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Graham (Nashville), formerly of Wi******er.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13th from 3pm-5pm with a memorial service immediately following, both at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Clairmont Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Olena Dunaway, 88, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was born July 28, 1937 to the late Andrew and Susie Isaac Arnold in Irvine, KY. She is survived by her children, Susan Covey and Jimmy Dunaway; grandchildren, Brandy Fugaate, Stephanie Callahan, Jillian Dunaway and Olena Covey and three great grandchildren; siblings, Margie Berchum and Gene Arnold. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Jewel Arnold and Carol Breeding, Doug, Clayton and Lloyd Arnold. A service will not take place.

Sandra "Sandy" Johnson, 82, wife of Raymond Earl Johnson, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was born January 8, 1943 in Altadena, California to the late Roger and Ruth Farmer Bursch. She was a retired RN and worked at Chick-Fil- A. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Krista (Sarah)Johnson, Marsha Johnson, David (Kara)Johnson, and Michael (Jenna) Johnson; siblings Linda (Bob) Petersen, Karen Giannota and Ken (Sandy)Jeffries; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Bursch. Services will be on Saturday, December 6, at Fellowship of Believers, 3421 Combs Ferry Rd., Wi******er, at 1:00 pm, with visitation from 12:00 until the hour of service.

James William "Bill" Green, also known as Paco to many, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on November 20, 1939 to the late Maggie Mae and Frank Green. He retired from IBM after 34 years of service. He began as an apprentice in tool & dye, and later became a Manufacturing Engineer. After retirement he worked as a volunteer at Clark Regional Hospital. In 1958 he married Barbara Tapp. adding to this union, they had three children; Diane Johnson, Amy (Chuck) Harms, and Jim (Karen) Green. He was a grandfather to Jacob Martin, Clay (Sarah) Martin, and Lance Johnson. He was a great-grandfather to Alyssa and Ava Martin, Jayden Whitley, Sam and Lucy Mofield. James was preceded in death by his grandson, Lance Johnson, and siblings Prewitt, Virginia, Kathleen, Betty June, Curtis, Morris and Ollie Frances. He enjoyed music and dancing, playing golf and spending time with his family. He enjoyed wood working and made beautiful pieces of furniture for both his home and for his children. We want to give special thanks to his wonderful caregivers and Hospice East. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Dr. or First Presbyterian Church, Windridge Dr. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00-6:00 pm, at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow.
