As we welcome the New Year, many of us pause to reflect on what has been β€” and to gently consider what lies ahead.

For some, this transition brings hope and possibility. For others, it carries remembrance and the presence of loss that doesn’t follow a calendar. As we step into 2026, we do so with compassion for every journey and respect for all that people are holding.

At Blue Ridge Care, this promise guides us forward β€” shaped by the daily actions, ideas, and care of our team members, and rooted in our shared commitment to deliver extraordinary care, widen access, and care for the whole person.

Wishing peace, steadiness, and care in the year ahead. ✨

Kwanzaa is a week-long cultural celebration honoring African heritage, community, and shared values.

At the center of Kwanzaa is the kinara, a candle holder with seven candles. Each candle represents one of the Nguzo Saba β€” seven principles that guide the celebration. The center black candle symbolizes unity, while the red and green candles represent the people and the future, and are lit one each day as families reflect on a different principle.

Through storytelling, reflection, and community, Kwanzaa offers time to honor culture, shared responsibility, and collective care.

We wish a meaningful Kwanzaa to all who observe. β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’š

Christmas is a celebration rooted in the birth of Jesus Christ and observed by Christians around the world.

Traditionally centered on themes of love, generosity, hope, and peace, Christmas invites reflection on caring for one another and extending kindness within our communities.

We wish a meaningful and peaceful Christmas to all who observe. 🀍

During the holidays, grief can feel especially close. πŸ¦‹

The Empty Chair event hosted by Baby Faith’s Journey created a sacred space for families to honor loved ones who are deeply missed and to share their stories with one another. Our team was honored to participate in this meaningful gathering.

Because of you, our neighbors are supported πŸ¦‹

Last month, the generosity of Blue Ridge Care donors made a powerful impact. Together, our community donated 1,315 pounds of food, shared directly with trusted local hunger-relief partners across the communities we serve.

Every bag, every box, every contribution mattered β€” and local partners reminded us that no donation is too small to make a difference.

Thank you for showing up for our neighbors and for being part of a community rooted in compassion and extraordinary care. πŸ’™

Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights.

Hanukkah commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and the miracle of a small amount of oil that lasted eight nights β€” a story rooted in resilience, faith, and the enduring power of light.

As families and communities gather to light the menorah, Hanukkah invites reflection on hope, perseverance, and the importance of bringing light into the lives of others.

We wish a meaningful and peaceful Hanukkah to all who observe. πŸ•Ž

🌍 Human Rights Day 2025 🌍

On this day, we commemorate the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 β€” a landmark reminder that dignity, equality, and justice belong to everyone, everywhere.

In this message, Volker TΓΌrk, High Commissioner for Human Rights, calls on us all to stand up for human rights β€” even when it feels hard β€” because they are the foundation of a just and inclusive world. https://ow.ly/aX7a50XGS1f

At Blue Ridge Care, we believe everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and a voice. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, respect, and extraordinary care β€” for individuals, families, and communities. πŸ¦‹
