Today, we went back in time for Retro Day, inviting everyone to rock their favorite looks from the ’70s, ’80s or ’90s — and our team delivered! From bold colors to throwback vibes, it was so much fun seeing the creativity (and a little friendly fashion competition 😉).

At Orchard Ridge, we’re proud to be a Great Place to Work — but just as importantly, we’re a FUN place to work, too. Moments like these bring our team together, spark laughter and remind us that joy is part of our culture every single day.

Last week, during Random Acts of Kindness Week, our community came together in the most heartwarming way. 💛

A “Kindness Wall” invited residents and team members to share uplifting notes, words of appreciation and simple acts of gratitude. By the end of the week, the board was filled with messages that reminded us just how powerful kindness can be.

We wrapped up the celebration with our Cup of Kindness Coffee Bar — a sweet time to connect, reflect and continue spreading positivity, one cup at a time. ☕✨

Purple, green and gold filled our hallways as residents and team members celebrated Mardi Gras with a festive door decorating contest! 🎭💜💚💛
The creativity was incredible, with each door bringing the spirit of the season to life. Congratulations to resident winner Mary Kwolek, and a big shoutout to our Facilities team for taking top honors in the team member category!

Last week, we welcomed guests for an informative and empowering presentation led by Joshua E. Hummer, Esq., founder of Relational Estate & Elder Law. Josh shared essential considerations every adult should understand when preparing for the future, breaking down complex topics into practical, easy-to-understand guidance.

From estate planning basics to important legal protections, attendees left feeling informed and more confident about the decisions ahead.

And of course, no Orchard Ridge event is complete without exceptional hospitality — a special shout-out to our incredible dining team for the delicious selection of sweet and savory refreshments that made the afternoon even more enjoyable.

Caregivers and people living with Parkinson Disease (PD) are invited to the PD Support Group. We will meet for introductions, a bit of sharing, make plans for future activities, and of course, provide lots of encouragement and support. This group will meet the last Tuesday of every month.

The Valentine’s Social was a great success. Residents enjoyed a delightful assortment of desserts perfectly paired with wine and a friendly resident bake-off that showcased incredible talent (and some delicious competition!).
To top it all off, a selection of classic Valentine’s love songs set the perfect mood, bringing smiles, memories and maybe even a few sing-alongs.
It was a beautiful evening celebrating friendship, community and a little extra sweetness. 💕

We had an amazing time at our Heart Health Social with tasty dark chocolate and red wine samples, heart trivia, balloon powered movement, on site blood pressure checks by MyPotential at Home - A National Lutheran Service and a community Heart Pledge wall.

♻️♻️Orchard Ridge has officially registered for the NexTrex recycling program, sponsored by Wi******er-based Trex Company, transforming everyday plastic into something meaningful. Trex recycles flexible plastic film into durable, weatherproof materials — and for every 1,000 pounds collected, Orchard Ridge earns a new bench for the community.
This is truly a team effort. Residents, facilities and dining services are all pitching in, with residents leading the charge by collecting, consolidating and weighing the plastics — and even volunteering to deliver them to Trex.
Together, we’re reducing waste, strengthening community and creating something lasting for everyone to enjoy. 🌱
