I’ve been thinking a lot about boundaries lately, especially how differently they’re treated in nursing and entrepreneurship.

In this live, I’m talking through why boundaries feel so complicated in nursing, why so many nurses struggle with guilt around them, and what changes when you step into spaces outside traditional healthcare culture. This isn’t advice or a how-to. Just thoughts and perspective for anyone who’s been questioning the unspoken rules.

What is it with nurses and being stubborn?! 😅

Even when we KNOW something doesn’t feel aligned, we try to convince ourselves it’s fine.

Jeannie Nguyen, RN shared that she once thought a 3 days on, 4 days off schedule would be the ideal setup. And on paper, it made sense. But in reality, the lifestyle became all consuming, mentally and emotionally, even on the days she was “off.”

In this clip, Jeannie talks about what made her step away from bedside nursing and choose a path that actually fit her life. That decision led her into medical sales and eventually business ownership.

We had the opportunity to interview Jeannie for our members only podcast, Nurse Business Insider, a new perk launching with NNBA membership in 2026. These conversations focus on what nurses are really navigating when the traditional path stops working.
