About the Practice
The Center for Skin and Thyroid is a unique practice that combines the unique skill-sets of the physicians involved, allowing them to provide a holistic approach to the patient. We are an independent practice in Wi******er, Kentucky that aims to serve our patients and their needs.
The practice was started 38 years ago by Dr. Marvin E. Bishop. Initially, it was purely a dermatological practice. Dr. Bishop is a board-certified dermatologist, who received his training at Lackland AFB. Marvin A. Bishop, M.D., M.B.A. (his son) joined the practice approximately 15 years ago and brings a different educational background to the practice.
Dr. Marvin (as he is known around the office) is a board-certified endocrinologist with an extensive medical background. He uses his internal medicine/endocrine training, along with training in skin issues that he obtained in medical school, to provide care for his patients. Through his training, he can often identify internal medical problems that often present with skin findings.
Both physicians hope to help with your individual skin and/or endocrine needs.
