“When I turned 40 on November 14, 2024, I said, “This year is MY year.” That meant I was finally going to start taking care of myself too, not neglecting my responsibilities, but actually sticking to what I said I wanted for myself, without excuses like “I’m too tired” or “I’ll do it tomorrow.”
I started at Evolve Muncie that same month and was lucky enough to see my regular P*P, Kelsey Moore, who also works there. I began their HRT program (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy) along with GLP-2.
My testosterone level was 32. In the medical world, I was told that’s “normal,” but in a functional sense, I was actually depleted. After doing more research, I realized that all the symptoms I’d been told were perimenopause: hot flashes, weight gain, anger, anxiety, depression, insomnia- were actually caused by low testosterone. Yes, women need testosterone too!
My levels are now in the steady 120s, and I truly feel the partnership of HRT and GLPs is what has helped everything come together. I have almost zero symptoms now!
I’ve lost a total of 70 pounds and 11.5 inches off my waist! You never realize how far you’ve come until you see picture comparisons like this, the before and now, the after. I am a better person, mom, wife, aunt, and friend because I finally started taking care of me.
