Baby Announcement:

Dr. McIntyre welcomed Finnian Thomas to her family on 1/21!

Everyone is healthy and happy 🥰 Dr. McIntyre continues to plan on being on maternity leave snuggling this adorable baby until late April 2024.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Dr. McIntyre is beginning her Maternity leave for the birth of her second son on January 15th, 2024 and planning to return mid-late April 2024. Until that time, she will not be accepting new clients but will be periodically available by email or phone for any questions, inquiries, or assistance in finding alternative providers.

If you are 5 years old or older and ambulatory, and have limitations in your physical mobility, you can participate in this FREE Adaptive Soccer Program that focuses on introducing soccer skills and FUN! We are excited to announce we will begin accepting new clients again starting October of 2021! Dr. McIntyre will be returning from maternity leave!

In the mean time, please enjoy this picture of Rowan doing his daily tummy time! 💪
Babies his age (0-3months) should have ~30-60min of tummy time a day! This includes floor play like this, as well as prone on your chest and being carried with head over your shoulder - anything where they are lifting and controlling their head against gravity!

Dr. McIntyre has exciting news! She and her husband are expecting their first born at the end of THIS MONTH! 😱 Stay tuned for some adorable baby pictures!

What this means for Milestone:
1. Dr. McIntyre is now no longer taking any new clients until after she returns from maternity leave in the fall of 2021.
2. Dr. McIntyre will announce when she is taking new clients again - so watch the website and facebook!
3. If you are looking for a pediatric physical therapist, Dr. McIntyre is still happy to help out! She has a list of community resources that she is happy to share with you to help you find a provider while she is unable to provide services.

Thanks so much for the support over the past three years since Milestone's opening! We are so excited for this next step in Dr. McIntyre's journey and cannot wait to get back to treating kiddos once she has the hang of taking care of her own little bundle of joy 😍

Milestone’s Story

Milestone Pediatric Therapy is owned by Dr. Megan McIntyre, PT, DPT. Milestone offers physical therapy services to to the pediatric market in Wi******er and the surrounding areas. Play-directed rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, including surgery, sprains, and fractures, makes getting stronger fun! A well-developed torticollis program fosters and guides each parent through the development and treatment of their infant. Milestone takes a whole-child approach to treatment of gross motor delays, neuro-developmental conditions and coordination disorders in order to address family goals and concerns. This approach helps each child grow toward their maximal participation in childhood activities and play.

Meet Your Therapist:

Dr. McIntyre has lived in the Wi******er community since 2009 when she started her undergraduate work at Shenandoah University. After graduating with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Dance, she began working on her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University. Dr. McIntyre graduated in 2015 and started her career in Northern Virginia, where she was given the opportunity to develop her first pediatric program. She has since developed a popular and successful torticollis program, honed her skills for pediatric orthopedic issues, and continued her education on neurodevelopmental pediatric conditions. Milestone Pediatric Therapy is Dr. McIntyre’s vision to bring more services to a very under-served population in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
