We’re excited to share that the Pediatric Special Interest Group (Peds SIG) is up and running again! Michele Wiley has stepped in as interim chair through November 2026 and will be working alongside co-chair Loan Nguyen and secretary Lauren Shirkey.

Our first meeting of the 2025–26 year took place on September 30. It was a great kickoff, with time for networking and important legislative updates from Tom Bohanon, PT, DPT, APTA Virginia Legislative Chair, and Maria Jones, PT, PhD, Director of Advocacy for APTA Pediatrics.

We’re so proud of our PT students — Will Chan, Marisa Cornell, Caitlyn Sweet, and Will Harrigan — for being selected to participate in the Global Citizen Project!

These students will have the opportunity to expand their global perspectives, engage in service learning, and represent Shenandoah University and the physical therapy profession around the world. 🌎💙❤️
