Our Garden Club was in full bloom thanks to our wonderful student volunteers from Eastern CT State University!

They helped residents plant seeds, shared great conversations, and even stayed through the clean-up. It was a beautiful afternoon of teamwork, laughter, and getting our hands a little dirty as we look forward to watching our garden grow together.

SJLC’s 5th Annual Bowl-A-Thon was a striking success! 🎳

Residents solicited sponsors and raised funds for a charity of their choice, making the event both fun and meaningful. A special thank you to the ECSU students from the Community Engagement Center who volunteered as our bowling alley pin setters and helped keep the energy going all day long!

Residents, staff, and families came together to enjoy festive treats, lively music, and plenty of laughter. From shades of green to smiles all around, it was a day filled with joy, connection, and a little Irish luck.

Happy Social Work Month and World Social Work Day to our incredible social workers, Kayla and Michele!

Kayla Jolie has been a valued member of the Saint Joseph Living Center team since 2012. She is caring, compassionate, and an extremely knowledgeable leader of our Social Services Department. Michele Diaz joined our team in 2022 and approaches everything she does with kindness, a great attitude, and high energy.

Together, they truly are superheroes—patient, supportive, and always advocating for our residents and families. Thank you, Kayla and Michele, for all of your hard work and the heart you bring to our community every day!

Even though we may have had a snowstorm yesterday, just last week our residents were celebrating Mardi Gras in style!

With the help of our wonderful volunteer students from ECSU, the room was filled with laughter, festive games, and plenty of sweet treats. From colorful decorations to joyful conversations, it was truly an extra special celebration for everyone involved.

Our Valentine’s Day Party was filled with music, sweetness, and so much joy!

Residents enjoyed Brenda’s delicious chocolate cupcakes and were treated to the incredible Mary Morse and her many accordions 🎶 — leading us in song, dance, and plenty of laughter!

It was a heartwarming celebration full of smiles, rhythm, and Valentine’s cheer.
