This year has been nothing short of amazing for Windham Hospital, and we’re proud to share some of the milestones that reflect our commitment to exceptional care and community partnership:

Named a Leapfrog Top General Hospital for the second year in a row for our dedication to outstanding clinical care and the highest standards of patient safety.

Launched the Center for Innovation, Education and Simulation at in partnership with Eastern Connecticut State University.

Celebrated 30 years of lifesaving services with the Windham EMS team.

Hosted a successful Medical Mission event bringing vital care and resources to those who need it most and reinforcing our dedication to health equity.

Strengthened relationships with community partners because together, we can build healthier communities and brighter futures.

Windham Hospital held a flag raising ceremony to honor all of our colleague veterans and their families this Veterans Day.

Jennifer DiSette, Resource Coordinator for the Center for Healthy Aging, handed out custom made HHC dog tags to all of the veterans in attendance as a thank you for their service.

We are proud to recognize all who have served in the armed forces, especially our colleagues who continue their service in caring for our patients and communities.

Today was our third annual Medical Mission in Willimantic! Hundreds of volunteers came together to provide free medical services, health screenings, essential items, and support to those who need it most.

The best at getting better!

We’re proud to team up with Eastern Connecticut State University to shape the future of healthcare with a brand-new, state-of-the-art Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), a groundbreaking, hospital-based nursing simulation lab inside Windham Hospital.

At 6,500 square feet, it is now the largest nurse-training center in eastern Connecticut and represents a major step forward in training nurses.

The new simulation lab is the final piece of Eastern’s rapidly growing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice.
