Those of you located in Windham know our next Annual Appeal storyteller! Johnny O'Connor is a restauranteur🍔, a professional snowboarder🏂, a professional skateboarder🤙, and has been the head ASF skateboard coach for our Adaptive Skateboard Camps since 2021🛹!
Johnny has combined his passion for skateboarding with his passion for helping out his community, and it has led to some big things! Our skateboarders have experienced the freedom of riding on a board, going down ramps, hitting halfpipes, and even learning some tricks, all things that Johnny finds therapeutic in his own life.
Above all else, Johnny has seen that the athletes are not just learning a new physical skill in the activities they engage in💪, but they are also making friends and building social confidence, something that isn't easy to do as a person with disabilities👫.
Johnny has seen first-hand how our programs empower our students' lives, and he's all-in! We hope that you're all-in to by making a donation through our annual appeal this giving season💚!
