Thank you for speaking up for the healthcare workers who do care and taking care of those you don’t have it in their hearts. This kind of abuse should not be happening — ESPECIALLY to the most frail within our communities!

Jada Harris, 18, and Shy'Tiona Bishop, 20, booked into jail Friday.

We'd like to thank EVERY person and group who took so much time to put together gift baskets and wrapped presents for our residents this past Christmas! We didn't expect such an outpouring of generosity, and it was so welcomed after all our residents and staff have been through not being able to open to the community for so long!

Thank you to Melissa Marcinuk and your volunteers for the wonderful and generous gifts to each resident!

Thank you to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and Camille Swander! The residents are so thankful for your gifts!

Thank you to Patty Tosetti and husband for the personal care item baskets for residents! Wow!

Thank you to Judy Martin for the handmade wooden snowmen and painting craft! We decorated some of the residents.

Thank you to Kathy Damon from Homestead Maine for arranging some fantastic gifts AND to the WINDHAM POLICE & FIRE DEPARTMENT for delivering them in person! The residents loved seeing you! Come back soon!

Happy New Year!

It's been 22 months since the pandemic hit March 2020 and we had to close our own doors here at Ledgewood for a long while. Looking back, it's been the most difficult period in all of Ledgewood's history. We owe a great deal to the vigilance and hard work of all those who work here and the patience and understanding of our community!

The following video, created by AHCA/NCAL, our national advocates for healthcare in nursing homes and other similar facilities, depicts a

Become a Temporary Nurse Aide!

DHHS has kindly approved Ledgewood for allowing a NEW and special kind of healthcare worker - a TNA (Temporary Nurse Aide).

Do you like helping people?

Would you like to know what it's like to be a CNA?

Can you work part-time or as-needed with elders?

If you're interested, completing a FREE 8-hour online course is what's required through www.tempnurseaide.com. Set up an account and go for it!

Becoming a TNA is a great way to give you a feel for what it's like to be a CNA. A CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certificate requires 180 hours (usually 6 weeks) of class and clinical time. You'd be working next to CNAs and nurses, performing many of the same duties and learning what it is our staff does.

Challenge yourself and give it a try!

We've made adding yourself to our e-mailing list easier! Just text "LEDGEWOOD" to 22828. Thanks!
